Let's just remember Crowder's contract. He starts for us on a backups contract under the new CBA and is locked in long term. His salary isnt that different from Brown.

Both have different types of value so it depends on the trade.

If it's a deal for Griffin I'd use abradley in the deal and try to keep Crowder out. Brown could only be included if you get better value back for him. Obviously Griffin is good value but to match salaries Amir would have to be included so we would need more coming back to include Brown.

One example is a variant of the 3 way trade with Sac involved where WCS comes to us with Brown going to Sac. Gay and Bradley to Clips

I like that value there, TP. WCS can give us most of what we lose in Johnson with years of upside. We lose a defender where we have strong backup, and refill a hole left by trading Johnson, all while acquiring a borderline superstar (he's a star no doubt).
