Smart and it's not particularly close. There are no free throws in a game of 1 on 1

So to be more clear....I think I envisioned them playing to 21 like 7 days in a row like the world series or something. Or morning and afternoon.

I didn't think of fouls.  I guess shooting fouls like hacking are a free throw, but reaching in is nothing. I didn't think that far ahead

Brown drives to the hoop on every possession and gets a layup.
Smart jacks up a three in street ball for no freaking reason.

Brown wins.

Smart .......without refs , rules , free throw ......age and trickery Smart toys with him.

Too much experience and age .

Smart is tuff hombre ,  make no mistake about it ......he goes toe to toe with the most tuff and ruthless players and gets under their skin . ....

Smart plays Wade and Westbrooke .....Brown is dead meat .

First off, TP for having "This poll must have some sort of agenda so I refuse to answer the simple question" as an answer  ;D

Secondly, it'd clearly be Brown.  Defense is great in a team game, but to win one-on-one you have to be able to score.  Brown won't be hitting outside shots, but if he gets going toward the basket he's gonna get a good shot.  Smart's only hope is taking advantage of Brown's handle and getting hot from outside, and I don't see that happening

Also, didn't Brown beat Butler at one-on-one?

My thought exactly -- he at least took a couple games off Butler. I don't think Smart could.

Jaylen's defense can be great a few years down the road (and with more concentration) but for now he still is a little lost sometimes. One on one he wil probably do better, but he allows some blow by's and falls easily for fakes.

I'd say Smart, but it'll be very close.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Brown by far.

The main advantages Smart has over Brown are his passing and basketball IQ, which aren't really that useful in a 1-on-1.

Brown is bigger, he's just as strong, he's a more explosive athlete, a better finisher around the basket, probably no worse as a shooter. He's got this.

If Smart is the more intelligent player between the two, we've got a big problem, lol ;D.

Smart, but let's revisit this in a year.  Smart has his amazing ability to play in your face D and not foul.  Right now Brown doesn't know how to defend.  Plus Smart can shut down a lot better players than Brown is currently.  But Brown's going to be very good eventually.

Definitely Smart.  But it'd be a really long game until either got to 7.

I'd go Brown. I think Smart is the better player at this point, but 1-on-1 I'm going with the bigger, more athletic player.

Brown, easily.
Wait. I thought Smart could defend vintage Michael Jordan and Larry Bird and Magic Johnson all at the same time. I mean have you seen him defend? Oh my God. Marcus Smart can defend.
Wow, this poll was a good idea but you clearly have an agenda. Be so passive aggressive dude..

It's well known I'm no longer an optimist or believer in the legend of Marcus Smart. I'm in show me mode with him now. Jaylen is showing me.
