Bird was clutch but he got to take all the final shots because he was Bird. Horry was a role player who time and time again hit daggers.
Robert Horry

Quote from: Ogaju on July 12, 2016, 11:00:11 PMIn another thread I posted that Kobe Bryant is the clutchest player ever, and another poster demurred. I thought it an interesting topic for its own thread.I am not sure if anyone despises the Lakers and Kobe as much as I do, but now that he is retired can we continue to deny his greatness? Is he not arguably the most clutch player ever? When Kobe Bryant was at the height of his game, and the ball was passed to him with the game on the line and the clock running down, how many of you could truly say your heart did not sink? It's not Kobe. Someone run the numbers but I'm sure his shooting % at the end of games was not impressive.

From the 2000's on it is Lebron. Everyone always focuses on his misses because he is so polarizing, but Lebron has made a significant number of clutch shots. A very significant number and has done so at a very high percentage. The article posted on the first page supports that position.

Look I get it is fun to hate on Lebron, but he is the most consistent clutch player since 2000 and it really isn't all that close.
MR. "I am going to tell you where I am going to shoot the game winner in your face at" Larry Legend.. Back when defenders could Mug, close line, gut punch and body slam you.. Back when you played with a bloody mouth through most of the game.. Back when shooting a bo was considered good defense.. Back when good defenders were allowed to play good defense.. In the Clutch.. Clock on nothing and the game is on the line.Larry Bird , Jordan.. Anything after Jordan to me is garbage because the league has done everything in their power to cripple good defenders..
