Blake would be a perfect fit in Brad's system. Horford was a 5/4 for Atlanta, but for us he'll be a Big. Blake was a 3/4 for LA, but for us he'd count as a wing. Horford spacing the floor, with Blake and IT slashing, PnR with IT and Horford or IT and Blake, with Blake and Brown we finally have athleticism to throw lobs. If KO shoots 40% from downtown, this is a tough team to defend against... I like it

So, so far two nobodies with no media credentials have twittered the same thing, and that's good enough for all of us. Great.

The thing is. Both of these nobodies have nothing to do with one another, they aren't linked, but yet have heard from sources within the organization the same exact thing. They also both had information regarding previous free agency news before anyone else. We also have Smitty from RealGm hear the same Griffin rumbling. Smoke = Fire sometimes. I'm not saying they are right as it is wierd we haven't heard much from the Bullpets and Himmelbachs of the world reporting on this, but I think there is truth to it.

Blake or Amir?   Really now people.
Meh. I don't want Blake on this team. He'll make the team redundant if Danny intends to play Horford at the PF, which may have been a big reason why we were able to sign him in the first place. Go for Boogie or make Amir play Center or get a slight upgrade at 5. I just can't see him fitting into Brad's system either. Or the Celtics' culture for that matter. Boston is a sports town, not a place for you to make KIA commercials.

Steven's doesn't have 4s and 5s. He has bigs, which in his system both being able to stretch the floor is huge. It would work. Would still need more wing shooting though.

Lets use some common sense here, Doc isn't trading Griffin. Especially if he doesn't bring in a win now piece. Ignore these twitter fools until it hits hoopshype or something.

seems like the blake rumor is fairly hot on twitter ...

my gut instinct is opposed to trading for him, BUT

if Brad can take a deep reserve like crowder and make him a good starter, could he similarly make blake a true #1 stud scoring threat? if brad thinks he can maximize his talents to avg something insane like 25 / 10 / 5, then isn't it a situation that will be attractive for both the Celts and blake?

Why would Ainge be so stubborn with holding onto a pick when his drafting strategy has always been to take the wpa, or worst player available, lol? ;D
tell us how you really feel
I trust Danny Ainge

Ok well if we can allow ourselves to indulge in speculation, I'd say...

Griffin + the '17 pick > Demarcus Cousins

I would gladly take Blake or Boogie.  Screw the picks.  Picks are stupid.  Try to hold onto guys that can actually play.

I don't understand why people keep pooing on these rumors as if they're completely made up. I can't speak for all of them, but the Smitty guy is actually legit and was actually at the Scout training camp deal that they were having in Vegas alongside the summer league. Several other major NBA guys, like Steve Kyler, were also there.

I'm sure nothing is close to being done, which is why most of the bigger guys haven't reported anything, but to outright claim that these are made up seems foolish. I trust that he's heard some sort of credible rumor about these general basic pieces that are being discussed.

And when you add this to the rhetoric coming out of both Boston's own management/ownership and even Bulpett, it's not far-fetched at all that something like this is being talked about.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

At one time Blake was a pick...Boogie too. Would it have been stupid to pick up those picks?

Isn't it Doc negotiating with Danny on this one?

Would be hilarious is Doc gifts us Blake after McHale gifting us KG.

Crowder is the heart of the Team. I wouldn't add him in any trade.  Wait a minute! Oh crap I got caught up in this fiasco unverified rumor.
