I would HIGHLY prefer Cousins to Griffin. It makes no sense why Cousins wouldn't be available. They have very little chance of even making the playoffs this year, let alone contend any time soon, and the longer they hold onto Cousins the less valuable he gets in return. They could legitimately jumpstart their rebuild with good pieces and picks to build around. Even a package of Amir, Smart, Brown, and the 2017 pick for Cousins and Collisin/Mcelmore would give them one of the brightest young cores in the league with Smart, Brown, WCS, Skal, an almost sure fire top-3 pick in 2017 and another probable mid-lottery pick with their own pick or the Philly swap.

I know Doc likes him but they won't have a decent SF if the trade goes through and I doubt Redick can play there. It doesn't have to be their last move. Maybe they'd trade for Gay?Of course that's true. The following 3-team trade could work:Celtics: Griffin.Kings: Amir Johnson (maybe some picks too).Clippers: Bradley and GayObviously I don't know how desperate the Kings are to dump Gay as it could affect their asking price.

He's got 2 years left on his deal, they just hired a new coach who they're hoping can get through to him, and they're moving into a new arena.

The time to get Cousins will be in January or February. At that point they'll still see things aren't working. Also, ideally the Nets will be cruising towards a bottom three record, which will increase the value of that pick. (Not that it isn't valuable now, but as uncertainty is removed, value will increase.)
Over/Under Days the Griffin rumor will persist without any national or even local beat writers reporting on it.I set it at 5.

I think it is amazing this thread has 28 pages.
