From tonight during Summer League game

Danny Ainge on if he'd be content to go into next season with current roster: "I think we're not done."

Ainge on James Young: "We drafted him when he was 18 years old and we needed to be a little bit patient with him, but now it's time."

Ainge on the Warriors' Superteam: "Listen, they are an outstanding team. But we’re not going to just lie down and die, I’ll tell you that."

Ainge on Evan Turner: "Some of it was timing. He had an offer out of the gate that blew his socks off and he had to take it."

Danny Ainge said Ante Zizic will stay overseas this year; "no decision" yet on Guerschon Yabusele.

Ainge said he's been in touch with Zeller and Sullinger: "We'll continue to see how it all plays out."

Ainge on team needs still as he sees them....Shooting, a stronger center, maybe a ballhandler: "We need more shooting. … We can use a stronger center, and those are the two biggest things"

Ainge on Amir and Jonas: "We're excited to have them back."

Danny Ainge said there was discussion about getting some Celtics legends to go to Durant meeting but didn't work out logistically. Ainge said he was also wary of having "too many people in the room"

Okafor would fit here if the price was right. He's better than Zeller, and has upside.

Very glad that Gershon might make the club this year.

Putting a couple tidbits together, he is saying that Zeller and Sullinger are not strong enough centers.

Or maybe he is saying that Sully is coming back.

UGH! Don't want to pay fatso - not when someone else is willing to work harder for less, and actually put in the work

Talk is cheap and the talk is getting old.

Make a move! Horford or no Horford it's purgatory

You do realize he's being asked pointed questions?  He can't just go all Oli North and plead the 5th.

Really hope that's not the case.  We know his limitations and his price tag is going up.

Still really want Butler on the team. I think he'd take us to the next level and give us a really good chance of coming out of the East. Cousins would be great, too, and though there are some questions to the fit alongside Horford, he'd be an excellent role model for Cousins.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

Roster situation: 4 roster spots will be fought between Sullinger, Zeller, Young, Hunter, Bentil, and Jackson.

What's the optimum we can hope for (aside from trades & other FA targets I don't know about)?

Both Sullinger & Zeller on one year deals. Retain Young and Hunter, and Bentil & Jackson agree to a contract in the NBA DL or Europe.

That keeps our rights for everyone and produces what should be our best NBA ready talent for our roster.

We'll see how it plays out.

I don't think so. It's more like he looks at both Zeller and Sully as backup plans in case he can't find a better center. JMO

Well, The Warriors and the cavs (maybe the Spurs) are the only elite teams this year. Everyone else is playing for 4th place.

We aren't exactly in purgatory (I know you want to say we are, but we aren't). True we aren't contending this year but we still have a very good team. ECF should be a reasonable goal. I would like to know what moves we can make to get out of "purgatory", as you claim we are in that situation right now.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Tp for the Oliver north reference
My memory is he didn't plead fifth he simply answered questions with "I don't recall" not I don't remember

A stronger center? That means Horford is the starting 4. Sully played the 5 last year so stronger than Sully.

Danny doesn't think he is done with the roster.

Add these up and what do you get?

A Cousins or Okafor trade because Wyc today said they were working on a difficult player?

Sounds about right.

Back up plan?

Probably retaining Sully and signing one more rookie?
