Nice article and some short clips here.

Young was up and down defensively getting burned pretty good at times, but also got his hands dirty at times and made some pretty scrappy plays plus good shooting.

I agree with the consensus that Yab looks like he might stick here.   He isn't dominant and is a bit slow on the pace at times but looks pretty good. Nice upside and versatile.  NBA body for sure.

NAder may be as well as a stash somewhere.  D-league bound as an extra big man.

Rozier is going to contribute as our backup pg this year.   He is shooting the ball quite a bit but really has worked on his offensive game.  He's always been good though.   Man amongst boys.  Needs to work at being a better distributor on cutters but is good running the offense and driving and kicking.

Not sure what Zizic's deal is. He might be our stash.  Will be interesting if he plays preseason or here at all this year. With Amir still under contract for a year we may stash him.

Bentil has an NBA body and mindset.  He reminds me of Maureese Speights with more range.  Powerful dunker but more a roleplayer with solid upside.

Jaylen and Hunter barring injury are going to contribute. Jaylen is our most talented young player along with Smart and Hunter looks much improved.

thornton plays with good aggression. Not the most talented guy in the world. He shoots a lot and gets a bit crazy on d at times.  Pretty terrible from 3.  his midrange shot has improved.  He's an ugly player to watch but he attacks.  He's not as bad as he looks.

Jackson has quite a bit of talent for a 3rd or 4th pg after Rozier and Smart.  Between him and Thornton right now.  Thornton seems to have the edge but  Jackson is clearly the superior talent imo.

Still will be interesting what happens with Sully. Nice rookie class though where we may move on from him. I still don't think that's guaranteed but if roster spots and how we drafted are any inclination.

We are 2-0 in summer league for a reason I guess.  Playing without Brown or Hunter who are two of our most developed and talented guys against Utah. Thornton is not bad.  Rozier really set the pace.  But Thornton did  a good job too.  We won because of all these contributions.  With guys like Yab, Young and Bentil and Nader chipping in.

It was really Rozier, Thornton, Yab and Young who chipped in the most.

Don't scoff too much at Thornton and those dreads lol.  Crowder turned out alright.

James Young can be the best shooter from NBA 3 point line, the only thing is this, he is just so slow to find his spots

Yeah... and the reason is that we have something like 1 zillion drafted rookies playing against competition that is primarily undrafted scrubs.  Our guys SHOULD be better than them by a mile.  Doesn't mean they will succeed in the NBA tho.

Yep, our group has way more talent given that they were all legit picks. That is also the reason why were winning despite having no player taller than 6-8.

My observations from the first two games:

Potential difference-makers:

* Jaylen Brown.  He's raw, but getting to the line for 17 FTs shows something about his aggressiveness.  I also liked that he wasn't in the least bit impressed with his performance in the post-game interview.

* Terry Rozier.  He just seems to be getting better and better.  Tremendous quickness and burst with the ball.  Under control on drives towards the hoop.  Good shooter, great defender.  I think he could be anywhere from a nice backup PG to an All-Star in the future depending on his progression.

Potential Role Players:

* Yabusele - He looked OK against weak competition.  Looks like a classic tweener.  In no way does he resemble Draymond.

* Bentil - Good outside shooter, good at most things, but no super special skill. Reminds me a bit of Walter McCarty - who was decent when the C's spread the floor alot back in the day.

* JR Hunter.  Upside of nice 6th man someday.  Nothing more.

* Demetrius Jackson.  I need to see more of him to have a stronger opinion.

Still have some hope:

* James Young.  That stroke is just too good to write him off ... Yet.

No chance:

* Marcus Thornton.  Ugly release, plays out of control.  Will never sign a contract with the C's.

Young could be a huge homerun for us. He did hit 4 3's a game on a 44% clip during his first D-league season.....from NBA three and being the youngest guy around.

Some of our favorite shooting gurads around the league have taken a few years of college and a few years in the league before even registering on the radar.....I believe Young will take less than that but he does need to be able to stay on the floor 20mpg to eventually get confidence and get his -shot going.

Why would we scoff? Its no different from K.O., its just hair.

I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, but did anyone see the Bucks-Cavs game?  I was just wondering how Thon Maker played.

Haven't seen him play, but from what I'm hearing so far, Kris Dunn is lighting it up on both ends of the court

Looks to be a special player!

Can't wait to see what Brown looks like in 3 years when he's the same age Dunn is now.
