Yeah we are all pretty mad about not getting Durant. I had so much respect for him until he fell for Jerry West. But that don't mean we are out of it. One trade is all we need to make and this team is good enough to take the east by storm. Of course Jaylen needs a year or two to fully develop into that promising power forward we expect him to be. But that don't mean he won't contribute immediately on the floor in Brad Stevens offense. Let's take a good look at our roster.

Isaiah Thomas PG
Avery Bradley SG
Jae Crowder SF
Jaylen Brown PF
Al Horford C

Doesn't look like much because Jaylen has to have time to develop but I can see this as the starting 5 sometime between Christmas and Valentines Day. Rotation guys like Smart, Rozier, Olynyk, Amir, JJ and Mickey will play more off the bench and get the needed experience they all need to make up a great NBA bench. But I see Yabusele and Zizic coming to the bench as roll players towards the end of the 017 season to replace Young/Mickey. The added depth will be solid. So now I'm seeing a bench with
Smart
Rozier
Olynyk
Amir
Yab
Zizic
Hunter
Bentil

The odd men out are Young, Zeller n Mickey. Still need to make a trade or a move to get deeper into the east.

February trade deadline comes n we hit Sacramento off with 017 swap, 018 Brooklyn pick, 018 C's pick, Jae Crowder, Demetrius Jackson, Hunter and Olynyk. Whether that's enough or not its got to be somewhere in this range give or take a player or two but not giving up Jaylen Brown unless its clear he's not gonna help right away but I'd prefer to hold onto him. So now let's take a look at the Celtics roster with Boogie

Isaiah Thomas PG
Averey Bradley SG
Jaylen Brown PF
Al Horford SF
Demarcus Cousins C
Bench and role players
Smart
Rozier
Yab<<<6th man
Zizic
Bentil
Amir Johnson.

I think that could get the Celtics to the NBA finals

1.We aren't mad with durant, we dodged a huge bullet knowing he isn't the guy you want
2.Why giveup assets while you can just sign him later?

Yah OK, n if Durant signed u would be the first one saying we r going to the finals. And how we gonna sign Cousins when he's under contract till the summer of 018 ? Yeah that was a pretty smart reply

I am all in on trading for Boogie. Other than LeBron, KD, and Steph Curry, the only other player I would trade the Brooklyn picks for is Boogie Cousins. The only way to beat Cleveland or GSW is to either match or outmatch them physically in the paint.

I do think the youngsters will provide more 3 point shooting off the bench. I'm all in for Boogie.

Don't want Westbrook unless it's on the cheap. He's not a fit

Blake Griffin...yes, but not for both Brooklyn picks. I really think the next KD or Blake or Curry is in the 2017 draft. No need to panic. Stay the course. If I s not a good deal for Boston, wait it out and use the draft to build on our likely 50 win team plus a max player in FA next summer.

We can't trade the 2017 pick and both 2018 picks.  Have to keep one of them.

And why do people assume Boston isn't keeping Sullinger?
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
Deep Bench - Korver, Turner

I assume he will get an offer that isn't worth matching.  In the 18M range.

I'd rather start Yab as a rookie then resign Sully. Sully is usless

There is no way cousins will ever be a key player on a championship team. The only way he ever wins one is if he finds himself on another team at the end of his career who happens to win. We don't want him here. He's is the opposite of what makes this team so successful and over achievers.

Cousins just might need a supporting cast like Boston. He's stuck with the Kings and they are considered one of the worse ran organizations in the NBA

He's never been a good his teammate and been in conflict with more than one coach. It's possible that him being here could change all that, but not likely. I don't like the risk.

He played on a star-studded college team without issue.  Never seemed jealous of John Wall even though Wall was getting the majority of the hype during their season at UK.

Still trying to figure out what world Jaylen Brown is playing power forward in though.  It's kind of mind boggling to me that just because a few teams go small during stretches that so many people on here now label every 6'6 guy a power forward.

I really think we should go big.  Also a fan of Boogie but he really needs to play the right way.  I just am not a huge fan of giving up a ton to get him.  I really like our core team. I don't think there is a star out there i'm breaking up our team for.

hayward and griffin are going to be free agents.  The clippers may move griffin before then.  Same with hayward.

More star gazing though. We know who they are.

If the reports are true, Ainge has repeatedly shown that he doesn't agree with your position, so I'm not sure who the "we" in your post is supposed to be.  Would you please clarify that?

1.There is HUGE difference between"Choosing Warriors" Durant and  "Choosing Celtics" Durant
2.We wait until that then, banner18 isn't going to run away
