Nice game James Young.  I like when James Young does well.

Lol, these Jazz commentators know nothing, Jon Snow ;D. This isn't Young's third summer league, and Jaylen Brown wasn't our 'third round pick'.  Are these guys drunk, half asleep, or a bit of both, lol?  Wow.

Isn't it his third summer league? He was drafted in 2014, so it should be unless he missed one

Now that I think about it, did he miss it in 2014?
I'm bitter.

Yes I think so, due to injury.

I'm VERY on the fence with Young... he's currently the weakest link overall in our roster, but he's still so YOUNG, I'd hate to dump him this soon if there's no necessity of it.

He's the poster boy of someone who should have stayed in college.
He was a first round pick. Stay in college and he'd be worse than he is currently.  I think he made the right choice.
Think long range.  I see him in Europe soon.  Green went to Russia or china
I don't buy at all that staying in college makes it more likely that he sticks long term.  Indeed, I think the opposite.  Stay in college and maybe he isn't a first round pick at all.  And maybe he gets cut before making the team.  At least he got guaranteed money.

If he stayed in college, he would be getting a lot of playing time in a leadership role and would gain confidence.  He would then enter the league further along in his game.  As it is, he's barely played the last two years and is very close to falling out of the league at just 20 years old.

Every pick this year is good. Zizic isn't here either.

yab is 20, learned english in a year from a tv show (can't remember which)

young is 3rd year but 2nd SL because of whiplash in a car accident rookie season.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

He apparently recently learned, like a year ago.

I think he missed a chunk of the 2015 one as well with another injury.

A guy like young doesn't even know what kind of player he could be at this point. The way the nba is it is so restrictive as far as roles.  Right now young is basically just a spot shooter with some dunks and spotty d.  He's basically worse than  gerald green was as a rookie.  If he ever figures out his talent he'll be good though.  He's skinny now gets pushed around lacks confidence at times.  But then will go off for 30 in the dleague at times.  He's a kid.

Talent wise though I can see it.  I just don't know if he will ever be that player plus the way the nba game is now players don't really develop other aspects of their game.

Would you care to enlighten me on that, lol, because I don't see it, at all.  The guy can barely dribble with his strong hand ::). All he does is stand in the corner, he doesn't know how to run off of picks :o, which is simply astounding, to me, is an atrocious defender who doesn't put forth any effort (a nice poke-away steal notwithstanding, but it's too little, too late, imo), at all, doesn't move without the ball (does he even know how to do so?), and if he doesn't hit his shots, he simply doesn't offer anything else, imo.  Ben Bentil, who hasn't even been playing basketball for that long, is better at attacking the basket than Young, lol ;D.

Can anyone tell me what the hell Utah are doing letting Lyles throw up 21 shots?? He's part of the main team rotation!!!

Home crowd, they were trying to win so they went with their "vet".  Yeah, he scored a bunch, but if I was Utah I would be disappointed.  Boston didn't have anyone taller than 6'8" playing last night and even James Young was guarding him for a while.  Lyles should have dominated that game much more than he did.
