Yah, we lost out on a guy with great skills, but questionable heart and loyalty (to OKC).
Screw him, time to move on, but not hastily out of anger and the need to fill the void but in a cool measured way, not giving up on our principles both ethically and strategically.
People are asking "Can we move Horford, now", and "will he take a 1&1 contract" and other questions. How would we look to players (including our own) and agents if we tried to get out of or modify our commitment to Horford? Really, that's who we've become. We try to do that, and we're worse than that scumbag Durant.
And to those who have suggested trading IT, you really want to do that right now, at this moment in time??? The guy is the face of the franchise. He personally recruited Horford and was one of the main reasons why we had a chance with Durant, and people want to include him in a deal right now?
Yah, I get that it's a business, but that type of move will at best alienate players (including our own) and agents, and at worst it will bring on some really bad karma/juju.
I'm all for trading any player on the roster right now except for IT..let's get IT/Horford some serious help...I'm all for that, but not at the expense of IT....right now.
