Ultimately, I'm disappointed but not surprised. OKC and Boston could only offer more of the same, and he went for something different.

KD sold out. Simple as that. He wants to win a ring so he joins the team that beat him last year. I've lost all respect I had for him. His decision easily makes the Warriors the most hateable team in the league for me.

This is WWE level stuff. Makes the league look more weak as hell. Who wants to see like two or three teams real contenders? Huge parity problem just got worse.

Fans will still tune in to see this team. I fully expect the NBA to market them like crazy.

I hope injuries wreck the GSW this and every other year moving forward.

I wouldn't shed a tear for their misfortune but at the same time, no, I'd rather they go 82-0 every regular season but lose every playoffs in the Finals, preferably after having gone up 3-0 each time. It's like how I view the death penalty. Injuries aren't punishment, they're an easy way out. Suffering is punishment.

With this proves KD hasn't class. He goes with the goods children, a whole town as Boston was waiting to him .
So Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce are so big abd legends, you're not a leader KD . Hopefully not win anything.
This is the NBA in this days.

What people don't realize...

Curry is a Free Agent next year so he will get PAID. Even with the cap rising another 15-20M, I think GSW will have to make moves next year to make it happen too, unless Curry takes a paycut which I doubt.

You're half correct.  Golden State will have decisions to make, but Curry's Bird rights are only about $16 million, so his salary won't be the problem.  It will be one of Iggy or Livingston that will have to take less or leave town.

This little pocket of the universe might sway from popular opinion, being that this is a forum made up of hardcore celtic fans who have long-despised LeBron, but my quick glance at opinions around the league seems to be showing that this will have a profound effect on LeBron's approval rating.   Many many folks, myself included, will be rooting hard for him to destroy that overloaded Golden State roster if they meet again in the Finals next year.

players seem to feel they are entitled to a ring. and if they dont win one, they need to team up and get one. I think Lebron eventually realised that he would get more out of getting a ring for cleveland than he could getting even more in miami.

you could tell this year that this ring was more special to him. and he still carried the team.he was also still the man in Miami.

KD will be the 3rd guy in GS. he wont be the man

The ratings won't suffer but this is terrible as a fan of competitive sports.

I've never rooted for injuries to players, and I'm embarrassed to say this, but if any major injury were to happen to one or more of the Big 4 Warrior players, I wouldn't feel bad one bit and might even be smiling inside.

Durant/Warriors have just supplanted the Kobe:Lakers/LeBron:Cavs/Heat as my most vilified player/franchise in all my years of following sports.

As many on here have said, go back to OKC, he gets a pass..understandable.

Go to the team that you just lost to in an incredibly emotional series, a team that you went to war against with your teammates?>>>>>>JUDAS

Definitely. My view on LeBron has changed a lot after KD's announcement, and I hope that he is going to make it hard for them to win.
