Let's not act like predicting the Horford max required some inside Intel. [dang] near everyone knew we were throwing a 4 year max at him and it was supposedly between us and Washington. We were the logical choice.
Yes, a case of the broken clock being right twice a day.

So if KD ends up here then this kid needs to take Sharrod's job.

There is word that KD pushed his announcement back to noon. Noon = mid day. Could mean something

The Celtics didn't know Horford was signing with them until they were getting on the plane after the Durant meeting.  That contradicts this guy's Horford story.
yup... unless they are lying and this teenager knew about it beforehand.

Do you really believe they did not know? So you would rather believe that the timing of the Horford announcement was just a coincidence?

I recall Horford's tweet "Celtics Pride" occurred at 7:15 pm when Celtics were still meeting with KD. That meeting was still going to 9 pm, according to media reports at the time. Ended just after that.

The beauty of this kind of time is that if enough people Tweet out enough "confirmations" from "sources", statistically somebody's going to get it right.

A more interesting question to me is, would Durant have actually told the teams by now?  It's possible but the chance of a leak makes it seem like only the very top guys would know.  If they're notified at all.

No leaks with Horford. He tweeted his decision. Durant will probably do the same.

Well sorry if I caused excitement over this tweet, I really believed in it myself and I'm bummed that KD has decided to sign with Golden State.

I don't see this kid as necessarily discredited. He got word that the C's hopes were up--which by all accounts they were--and that it was for a two-year deal (which, it turns out, it likely was).

As to Horford, he also projected that Al would make it official at the close of the Durant meeting--and that's what he seems to have done.

Sure, the kid could have been blowing smoke, but a careful reading of his tweets doesn't actually outright discredit him.

Something else to point out about this kid. He tweeted a few weeks ago about the Warriors potential death lineup of Curry, Thompson, Green, Durant, and Dirk. I know there's a counterpoint here but, from that tweet, it sounds to me like this kids not just some Celtics troll trying to stir the pot if he was looking forward to that potential lineup.
He's a kid who graduated high school in Rhode Island this year.  He's a Pats and Celtics fan.

I understand your scepticism, LarBrd, but, again, crazier things have happened (see below), so discrediting him solely based on his age and his interests is kind of silly.

SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY A Cs EXEC WOULD LEAK THIS. KD CLEARLY DOESNT WANT THIS LEAKED. THIS WOULD BE IDIOTIC.

I know we all want something to grab on to that says KD to Boston but this is not it my friends.
they wouldn't.  It's nonsense.  He might be right but its a pretty easy guess to make.

Guess we will know shortly whether durant is coming here or not - but I would in no way credit this guy as an insider if durant actually signs here.

If it happens within a minute of midday. Fine.
Sure whatever... the biggest scoop ever - made by a kid who just graduated high school in Rhode Island.  K...

LeBron's return to Cleveland was first reported by an unknown 20-year old gym trainer, but whatever. (http://www.cleveland.com/entertainment/index.ssf/2014/07/meet_the_20-year-old_personal.html)
I dont' think Durant has made his decision yet.  He's gonna wake up, alert his people, and they'll announce it.   So I dont' really believe any "insiders" - regardless of age.

You don`t believe any reports or "reports" which is very understandable and possibly the right way to go but at the same time you post what is going to happen based on ... nothing!

funny
K

He appears to just be some high school fanboy who is a Celtic diehard and is trolling (successfully).  Good for him.

I just clicked through some of his tweets.  He's just a fan:  https://twitter.com/nmattioli12/status/697629249457487872

Here he is apparently attempting to troll by announcing his school district being closed for a day:

I hope his guess about Durant is right too... but this kid has no credibility whatsoever.  Take it for what it's worth.

"Weather investigators"? That sounds like a joke rather than trolling to me.

I still like Nick. Pretty funny. people have thumbs up their butts regardless.

Honestly I'd still take him on my team over Chris Broussard.  It's not like the media hasn't been wrong before.  They have gotten better in their reporting the last year or so but people's integrity isn't what they think it is.
