It's the end of freaking everything if he does. We could trade for Butler and sign Blake Griffin and they'd still have 4 of the 5 best players in a finals series against us.

No feasible team could be constructed by anyone for 3-4 years at least that would be competitive with them.

It would take two catastrophic injuries for them to be beatable. That's just for them to be beatable. Dynasty wouldn't do them justice.

Think of it this way. Imagine adding Lebron James to any NBA roster. Choose whichever one you want. That team would still not be favorites to beat the Durant-Warriors monstrosity in a seven game series.

I just can't imagine him doing it if he at all cares about his legacy. But who knows at this point? May just really freaking want a ring.

If Durant joins the Warriors,  Kerr should play him and Curry on alternative nights. They don't need all that firepower at the same time. lol

Oh please ::). Curry and Durant aren't exactly the best defensive players in the world.  They can be exploited.  It wouldn't be like adding Bias to the 86 Celtics, lol, imo.  Sigh.

1. In the Playoffs, Durant is one of the best defenders in the world.
2. You're right, it wouldn't be like adding Bias to the '86 team, because you'd be adding an NBA MVP, not a rookie.

Did you see Durant defend this playoffs? Would subbing Harrison Barnes for Kevin Durant somehow negatively affect the Warriors' 2nd-best-in-the-league defense?

I think I did, lol, but I don't think much of him as a defensive player.  He can be a great defender if he wants to, but that's just the problem - consistent effort.  And yeah, I think that swapping Durant for Barnes would really hurt their defense, but it goes beyond that.  It takes a special kind of guy like Barnes to be willing to accept the fact that he's not going to get many shots in spite of his talent (and they just forgot about him a lot, imo), and yet continue to defend, etc.  Is there evidence to suggest that Durant can and would be willing to do that, because I'm not sure that that's the case, quite honestly.  Durant for Barnes is a great 2K trade, I guess, but I'm not sure about real life.  The Warriors would also be losing one of their best low post players, of which they desperately need more, imo, and Durant doesn't really fit that bill, to me.  It's not that he can't, it's because he gets pushed around too easily because of his lack of weight.  I remember watching 'The Top 5 Reasons You Can't Blame the Death of Len Bias for the Collapse of the Boston Celtics', and in their lead up to the draft, they had McHale on and he spoke about the 86 team, and this is at least part of what he said, "That (the 86 team) is basketball - not the five best players, but the five players who play the best together."  Of course, what made that team so special was that the five best players also happened to be the ones who played the best together, and I don't see that if Durant goes to the Warriors, but I'm probably wrong.  Either way, we'll know soon enough :-\.
