Guys and gals,

I rarely start topics, and usually my responses to existing ones fall more into "homer" land than educated facts and figures, which a LOT of you know by heart.  You are a passionate fan base, and an article from the Boston Globe seems to indicate that is the main reason why Al Horford will wear green next year.

This quote says it all: "Tito Horford said. “He said to me, ‘Dad, when we were playing Boston, they were down 15 points and they were cheering their team like they were winning the game. They’re so into the game.’ This is special for us, especially for him.”

So even though I've never been a part of the passionate Boston crowd, I just want to commend ALL of you for having that passion.  I've been a Celtics fan since the days of Johnny Most and John Havlichek...but YOU are the ones who sealed the deal with Al Horford this weekend.  Never lose that passion!

Bravo to you all!

If you look at RealGM's Celtics forum, there's a thread that was started just a couple of hours ago that's already 36 pages long.  There is no thread about Durant with comments today on the Thunder page, and the Warriors page has a thread with about 4 pages of comments from today.

That just shows the difference in passion from each fan base. It's quite dramatic.
