They also brought Smart.  This wasn't an attempt to wow him, it was an opportunity to talk to guys that are a part of the team and to show solidarity in the players' interest in him joining them.

My guess is they tried to get as many of their core guys to the meeting as possible to show the togetherness of the team. I bet Avery had a prior engagement that didn't allow him to go.

Kelly ripped out Love's shoulder and Smart uppercutted Matt Bonner's balls.  They were there for intimidation.

they weren't posing for the pic, it's likely most of our guaranteed players were there but didn't walk together. the pic doesn't have IT4, do you have any doubt he was there?

I'm guessing it was to show that the team is solid. Teams usually only bring their stars to the show, but maybe DA and co. wanted to show KD that "hey, these are our young guys and were committed to them. The fanbase loves them even if they're not all stars but because they are Celtics. They play hard and give it 100% every night. This is who we are. We're not just a team of mercenaries out for a ring. We're a family and we win together."

Then I'm guessing they were there to back up those claims.

They were all there.  And KO is the future.  A future roleplayer but the future nonetheless.  He may actually be really good someday too if he stops looking around to pick the daisies to put in his hair.
