Someone said that was a fake Twitter account, but I saw another source talking about them having talks.

We've got the room exception.  If we get KD, it could be our turn to get a ring-chasing vet!

I understand wanting to give minutes to Rozier and Hunter.  I think Rozier will get his shot with Turner gone.  But you can never have too many shooters, and Jamal Crawford is most definitely a shooter.

It could also wind up with a guard or two being shipped out for another big, which wouldn't be bad.

"Too many shooters" has never been a problem for Boston, though I'd love to have that kind of a problem.

is Crawford a shooter or a scorer though?  Shot like poopoo last season but he'll score with the best of them. 35% 3pt and 41% shooter for his career. He is a shooter at the ft line.
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

Jamal Crawford hasn't agreed to a deal with the Golden State Warriors but there is mutual interest, per a source.

No thank you. He's expecting at least 10-12 million. Even asking for 16 million at least.

Parsons got maxed out, and he's had his share of injuries.

Its crazy how the NBA has played out.

If he's talking with Golden State, his price is a lot lower than that.  Depending on what happens with KD, they could either offer him $2.9 million or $3.5 million.

Much as I'm not a fan of Crawford's game, he would certainly be a very nice addition as a scorer off the bench...and he's be a [dang] near perfect compliment for Smart.

Smart (6'4") + Crawford (6'5") would give is a very big backcourt.  Between Smart's defence and Crawford's scoring, that would be a tough duo to contend with as far as benches go.

But that's because he would want to be on a contender. As you said, depending on what happens with KD, we may or may not get him for the same price.

I think Hunter, Jackson, Rozier, and Smart should deservedly get the chance to prove themselves better. I don't know how much better it would to be invest money into Crawford, unless it was for an extremely reasonable team friendly contract. You can't really ask for a better sixth man than Crawford.  Instant offense and I'm sure Stevens would know how to best utilize him.

Yes!

As I said, I'm very much in favor of Crawford for the room exception of $2.9 million if we get Durant.  That's the most we could pay, although I'd give him a player option.  And then perhaps trade a couple of the young wings (aside from Smart) for a young center.  Two of Rozier, Hunter, and Young.  A team with KD can only afford to give so many developmental minutes, and the lion's share of said minutes need to go to Brown.

I guess I'd also be willing to sign Crawford to a $10 mil 1+1 Amir-style deal if we don't get KD. That's pretty much our maximum space.  We could still use someone who's a threat on the perimeter and can create his own shot.  Also, at $10 million he would be good salary ballast for a mid-year trade in which we send out mostly picks for a star, be it Butler or Cousins.

But, again, if he's considering Golden State, he's willing to take a discount to chase a ring.  And if we get KD, we are a very legitimate option for ring-chasing vets.

Celtics legitimately interested in Crawford.

I am all for it.  We have enough defense to cover for a guy like that plus we could really use his scoring off the dribble to take pressure off IT.  Its some of what Turner brought.  Crawford is less of a favilitator but scores with more range.
