Simmons impressed me.  So did Brown.  Simmons is like magic with duncans personality.  These guys are so young though.  Brown looks like a mature kid for his age though.

I'm just curious why you think simmons has Duncan's personality. There are multiple reports of simmons just not getting it in regards to his place in the league, or history. He also seems to crave the spotlight. That seems like the polar opposite of duncan, who looks to just fade into the dust after the best pf career of all time. Simmons needING the limelight screams more kobe than duncan (personality) to me.

Thon Maker's line - 15 points (5/14 fg, 0/4 from 3, and 5/7 free throws), 13 rebounds (6 of which were offensive), 2 blocks, and a steal with 4 fouls in 30:38.  Did anyone see him play?  Hopefully the highlights will be up soon.

Murray is so invisible so far. That's not a good sign. The game is too fast for him.

Granted it's summer league, but he looks like the least athletic player on the floor, even when Willie Hernangomez and jimmer fredette are on the floor. It's kind of depressing.

Dunn looked exactly liked I thought he would. Looks utterly elite one second, then like he can barely hit the rim the next. If he fixes that jump shot, he will be amazing.

Murray has been back cut twice on the defensive end. On offense, Mudiay and Harris seem to be making a point to look the other way when he's been in.  He'll be the best offensive option in their backcourt. The rest of those guys are awful. I stopped counting at 6 air balls early in the 2nd quarter. And this is their starting backcourt playing in summer league.

Why is Michael Beasley playing summer league basketball?
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Just wanna throw it out there, but Murray has been unable to get open against a 5'11 Tyus jones. Murray has been getting the clamps put on him. I honestly expected a little more when I tuned into this game.

Mudiay and dunn have similar weaknesses, yet both "look" head and shoulders above Murray.

Disclaimer* - it's a summer league game

Aaaaand that's why folks shouldn't spend every June imagining these rookies are the second coming of their favorite all star.   Happens every year, and I still don't get it.

Calling it right now.  The rookie who was most ready, Hield, will win ROY.   BPA is a mirage.

He won't play a big enough role for that.  It'll be Simmons
I'm bitter.

That crossover by Dunn and the subsequent crowd reaction is the perfect example of why the average fan is a total moron. He broke the defenders ankles, missed the open jumper and the crowd reaction was crazier than the reaction for Roziers buzzer beater.
