"REPORT: People close w/ Durant informed Celtics insiders that KD will sign w/ C's. Will let public know midday July 4th via @PlayersTribune."

The guy, Nick Mattioli, pretends to have had an internship for the Celtics and being in touch with a current team member. Sounds fishy but he did announce correctly the Horford signing with the contract details before it was revealed on Twitter : "Per source, Celtics offered Al Horford a 4yr, $113M max-salary offer. Told team he'll sign & make it official after attending Durant meeting"

The one flaw I see...

Horford (as far as we know) didn't attend the Durant meeting.

Phrasings awkward but I think he meant Horford would sign after the Celtics themselves attended their meeting with Durant, not Horford himself.

I just feel like this was KD doing his due dilligence. What other team had the entire team and Tom brady show up.  ESPN has been reporting this stuff but he got a "call" from Jerry West.

The issue is when people lie through their teeth and then use class as an excuse to be a coward or act like they are better than someone.  I say everybody have fun tonight.  Everybody wang chung tonight.  Disrespecting celtics fans isn't the way to go.
