It would be bad for the NBA if he goes to GS. The league would get less competative.
awful for the league.  awful for the fans.  awful for nike.  awful for durant.  just awful.

But at least he'd be taking a steaming dump on Clay Bennett - so I'd get over it.

Funny thing is, it would just make LeBron an even greater underdog.  King James would gain so many points if Durant goes heel like this and turns Golden State into the evil empire.  There would be no shame in rooting for LeBron at that point (assuming LeBron gets past our solid 55 win contender and Embiid's 76ers).

For Durant, it would be like when Hulk Hogan joined the NWO.

This made me curse out loud. Well done! TP!

You fans can stick it brother!

I think it's just about due dilligence.  We do it. Durant is doing the same and just going through the process. But how often do you get to be the piece that could lead a franchise like the Celtics to a championship?  If you are Durant that has to be hard to pass up.

good thing about Kevin Durant going to the Golden State Warriors would mean Westbrook is getting traded next season , and we have the assets to get him.

Love this quote from KD from 2010:

Joining Golden State would be 10x more anti-competitive than what LeBron did in 2010.  I'll lose all respect for KD if he does that.

He'll get torn apart for that quote, absolutely crucified.

Someone who has Twitter really needs to retweet this to him. lol

Just did ;)

if Durant was just coming back to the THunder, what would be the point in waiting to announce it?  Why delay?  Guys announced their free agent destinations within minutes of the 12:01am start of free agency.   Does he really need to craft a press release and publicity tour around staying?  Just announce it and be done with it.

The only reason to delay is if he's still on the fence or he needs to reach out to people, carefully craft his press release, and announce his departure at an appropriate time.

I'm fairly sure Durant has a small stake in Player's Tribune.

Let's all just sit back for a moment and realize how crazy it is that we're a top 3 team in the race for Kevin Durant  8)

Haha someone posted that earlier and you just know he'd get eaten alive by this hypocrisy if he did that lol

Seriously, every C's fan should retweet this to KD or some media blowhard.  They'll run with this!!

Seriously, every single person on here with Twitter should tweet this at KD!

This place is going to be very depressing tomorrow when Durant chooses OKC. Talk about doom and gloom..

I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

Durant, Isaiah, Horford plus the young guys we have plus we have picks and players to maybe add another big man to that and shooter.  That's an absurd team.   We aren't even done there if we land Durant.  Going up against Cleveland.  GS is somewhat stagnated with what they have unless they chase after another star.  It makes for good competition though.

We become the bar setter imo though.   CLeveland and teams like SA and GS are going to have to make moves to keep up with us.

I think it's good for the NBA and everyone.

To his credit KD is not considering the Lakers and will probably not pick the Heat ;D
