  • GOT IT!!!
After Woj's debacle, I think he's going to limit his tweets today to simply announcing agreements.

Yeah, that was a total debacle by Woj.  He pretty much tweeted that Atlanta and Horford had come together on an agreement at the exact time Horford was calling the Celtics to say yes.  I don't know who his "source" was, but that was some serious egg on his face.

I was fortunate enough to open Cblog to see that Horford was coming to the C's without seeing a Horford to Atlanta rumor.   Was there a moment that Cblog Naton thought he was lost to Atlanta (because of he Woj tweet)?   How long did the disappointment last till the truth came out?

About 30 minutes.

OKC's hope was 2nd mtng just about $$. Could be. But longer this goes, angst builds. Signals he's wrestling with it https://t.co/xnWyunJT19
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

If KD goes to GSW, we should grab Bogut. He'd be a great fit as a backup or alongside Al.

This is such a torture. I am at 21.30 PM, european time and really hope just Durant releases my nerves and decide in the next 2.5h, otherwise i'll be f*cked up at work tomorrow, no way I can sleep with all this going on.... Had the same problem in the first couple of days of FA.

If he wants a ring it's golden state. If he wants to cement his legacy...  It's Boston.  He can build his name with nothing to show for it in okc with the likelihood of Russell leaving. Bin Boston he'd be amongst legends even if he doesn't win a title
Yeah.  If he wants to get Steph another ring, he'll go to Golden State.  Fans there aren't going to care either way - on account of them being a frontrunning 73 win team already.  They can only go down from here.  ALso, fan opinion is about to turn against them - it happens with every dominant team.  Once they get KD, there'll be an all-out backlash against them.  They will be the enemy.  Durant will seem like an anti-competitive wussy.  They will be seen as the evil empire that everyone needs to dethrone.   People are going to start to hate Draymond Green.   Durant will take a major hit statistically as he is relegated to just another splash brother.   He'll anger Nike by helping Under Armour's meal ticket continue to stay on top.   All-around, it's a bad decision for him... but if he really really wants jewelry, it's an ok choice for him.

Or he can go to Boston, become a legend, and win his own championship with a support cast that is ready-made to go to war with him.  A top 5 offensive team last year adding the greatest offensive player in the game.  A top 13 defense that just filled their most glaring weakness with a defensive big - should immediately be a top 5 defense.   A team that will only continue to improve over the next few years.

I've been saying for months now...  I legitimately like Boston's chances more than any team not Oklahoma.   And staying in Oklahoma would be a bad decision for him.

Bottom line is, despite what the idiots in the media are saying (they are conditioned to sell big names, because that's what casuals get excited about - they don't focus on the finer points of basketball), Boston is the best choice for him.  Whether or not he makes that choice is up to him.

Agree 100%.

I already despise Draymond, and I actually preferred Cleveland winning this year (although that was more to do with wanting something good for Cleveland fans). I used to think it was great that Golden State finally had a good team, but all the talk about them being perhaps the greatest team ever is nauseating.

I really don't know how much clearer I can make this. All evidence point to KD to Boston. This is not rocket science folks.

So, what you're saying is ...  ;D

And Bob Voulgaris tweeted KD to Golden State (somewhat cryptically), so no one with "sources" seems to agree.

Haha yeah, they're not trustworthy by any stretch of the imagination. Still, it's fun to see all these things on a day like today!

What's it mean about money? He's obviously getting the max wherever he goes. Are they just trying to hammer home the financial aspect of it with him making more money there than other places?

Ouch. If they're resorting to that to keep him when he has consistently said money isn't everything and this is purely a basketball decision, they must feel like they are on their heels.

All in baby

I simply have no recollection of any other city's other major sports team being so involved and helpful in the recruiting process. That is amazing, and it shows a lot about the cross-sports support that is available in Boston.
