the fact that the celtics are in the east has to be a big selling point. Adding Durant to this current celtics roster instantly makes them a top competitor with the Cavs for the #1 seed and to represent the east in the finals.

in the west, you still have a multitude of teams who are better than most. Golden state, the spurs, the clippers

Not to mention the newly improved Blazers, and ofc there's that James Harden guy in Houston, and cannot forget about dark horses like Timberwolves, Utah, and Memphis!

the only thing they can tell you is that  he is in. But since he swore them to secrecy they cant say anything. Just read the teal leaves.

maybe its the homer in me, but we saw with golden state what depth does to a team with stars. Boston has a ton of great depth guys like bradley, smart, crowder to add to Durant/IT2/Horford
