I'm still nervous. I think Atlanta has something up their sleeve.

Imagine this is us in 2018. We spend all season telling Isaiah we want him back. And then...

1. We refuse to give him the five year max
2. While he's talking to other teams, we sign Kemba Walker.
3. We then resign Avery Bradley, so we can't actually sign Isaiah without dumping salary.

Would you think he'd be coming back?

Horford isn't necessarily coming to Boston, but he's certainly not going back to Atlanta.

That's a good comparison. But we could then trade Jae to make room for Isaiah (like Atlanta possibly trading millsap)
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

Right, but would you seriously believe that we were actually willing to do that when we've already done 1, 2, and 3?

Hmm I guess. But see the Woj link I put up. They're seriously considering it

The Hawks are still shopping Millsap in hopes of getting Horford to stay. It will probably take a bump in their contract offer to sway him.

Sources: Hawks continue to shop Millsap, believing Horford will warm to return. It will likely take another bump in Atlanta's contract offer

I don't doubt Woj, but that's just what they're saying they're doing no? Still think it's all smoke and mirrors.

Atlanta may just be in denial so they can say to the fans they did all they could to keep him.

If they were serious, it would already be done.  Who is going to blink at taking Milsap in this market?

Horford could easily end this and have his people "leak" that there's no chance he goes back to ATL, but I really do think he wants a full 5 year max from them. All of this "Boston and Washington are frontrunners" is probably just a smoke screen by his agent to put more pressure on ATL. Why else would he tell them he's making a decision by this evening? It's a deadline.

I'm sorry guys but if it waddles like a duck and quacks like a duck, it's a duck.

A lot of talk about nothing if Horford doesn't come.  I'm officially done with social media if that's the case.  Just people spouting nonsense for clicks.  You are all a bunch of fools.

Why the celtics even wasted time meeting with this guy if he and his agent are just using that to get his max money that he can get anyways.

All of this really doesn't reflect well on the Hawks though.

If they trade Milsap and manage to keep Horford, they've p---ed him off by dragging their heels.

If they lose Horford and keep Milsap, they've p---ed them off by trying to trade him.

What are they even doing?
