Barf.

For the amount of crow you've had to eat with your thoughts on Ainge & Horford it's no surprise you need to barf

Hey, hey, I asked if anyone had any good hawk recipes ;) ;D, and I stand by what I said in regards to Ainge and the draft.  What did I say about Horford, though, except for the fact that I never thought that a major free agent would come here?  Brb, performing search ;D.

You're just well known to like to whine about every non move, or good move. Same poster who created a one-off hashtag called "DannyBeingDanny .

It got no play so you might just want to insert your name in there instead of Danny's. He'll make you chomp on that crow year after year.

I'm not whining at all.  I simply view things differently than you do.  If that makes me a whiner in your eyes, so be it ::).  It's also nice that you noticed that hashtag, even though they're sarcastic, by default, but whatever.  Are you upset that I do not worship at the altar of Ainge or something, lol?

Would Pau Gasol be a good fit for us.

if we don't land Durant - pay him big on a  1+1 deal, team option year two. But you could arguably throw enough money at him on a one deal that he might bite.

Maintain your flexibility this coming off season for Durant.

Even if by some miracle we do land Durant, Gasol on a short deal still feels like a good fit. Great passer, long at the rim, good elbow jumper, great team chemistry guy.

Not the long term answer obviously, but we could pull Zizic and Olynyk behind him at center, run Horford and Amir at PF...

We'd have four guys that could truly play either PF or center in the right situations (Gasol, Horford, Johnson and Olynyk.

Thoughts?
I agree that Gasol would be a good choice but if you want to do the sizeable overpay on a 1+1 contract, you can't keep AJ. There just isn't enough cap space with Horford.

Al makes us so much better team looking forward. Now, If we don't get KD, we still have many other options and with one or two quality additions we way better team then last season. Horford was really the key...

there isn't a lot of chatter about Pau Gasol.
IMO he is waiting on the Spurs / Durant .

Picking up the team option on Amir ($12M?) is starting to look like a good deal in this new market.  I believe Amir had a tough season due to his injury and still has gas in the tank.

Dump Amir and sign Gasol. Rebounding wise it would be a huge upgrade compared to Amir even though he did an okay job last year.

Gasol is still a 20/10 2 blocks guy at the 5. He has a couple good years left. Solid player. Would make them a 55-60 win team.  He is holding up his decision until after KD, and could be on Danny's radar.

Hope that's the case!
Imagine a team consisting of:
PG: Isaiah
SG: Bradley
SF: Durant
PF: Horford
C: Gasol
Obviously Pau would have to take a paycut, but he is willing to win, hence why it might be possible if KD decides to sign here. Pipe dreams ;D

I don't know, Beat LA. You have been slipping and forgetting the (sarcasm) denotations lately. How do you expect us to discern sarcasm without a clear indicator? ;D

I think Pau is looking to maximize his last payday. Sure he wants to win and will say that publicly.

Either Durant or Gasol. Not both. They don't have the cap space for both. Gasol will probably go where Durant does not go.
