David West to the Warriors for the minimum. I hate the Warriors.

Yeah, the whole "Oh, the Warriors will lose all their depth, they'll be paper thin" argument was silly. Good veterans looking to get a guaranteed ring will take nothing to go there. I predicted West, and Zaza is already there at a huge discount.

I feel sorry for the previous warrior team as this new team has no love lol xD no one can appreciate it...now all they will get is boos and humiliation etc.. :/ well the fact they recruited him hard too makes it seem bad too but anyway....so much for a warriors legacy as well xD (everything was good till durant came xD)  no one will ever reach our championships ^^

Haven't seen this one around yet:

Woj: Sources: Charlotte, Roy Hibbert agreement: One-year, $5M.

That's pretty cheap if you ask me. Maybe Danny should have considered it as a replacement for Zeller?
Given that Zeller was relegated to the last spot on the bench, I think it's safe to say we can replace him with Ben Bentil and not break a sweat.

Apparently for Olivier Hanlan (a second round pick)

The Washington Wizards have agreed upon a three-year, $16 million contract with [edit]the Washington Wizards Jason Smith.

Smith spent last season with the Orlando Magic.

Smith averaged 7.2 points and 2.9 rebounds in 15.5 minutes per game over 76 appearances in 15-16.

That's true, but Hibbert could have been a low risk, high reward kind of signing for us. He played like an all star 3 seasons ago, which is why I think there is still hope for him.

To be fair, West was absolutely terrible with the Spurs lol I dreaded seeing him in the game in the OKC series, because they always went on a run when he came in lol

Zaza was absolute highway robbery, though.

I wouldn't be surprised if these ring-chasing signings kill the room exception and the minimum salary exception for teams who use cap space in the new CBA.

I think this brings up a point that isn't often touched on. Talk of the franchise tag etc is flawed because players have shown they are willing to give up large sums to put themselves in the best position to compete. What would stop them is removing some of the exceptions that teams use to fill out a roster. It would at least make this kind of scenario high risk high reward.

Somehow with all the money going around this wouldn't surprise me.
Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.

Nene has agreed to sign a one-year, $2.9 million deal with the Houston Rockets.

Nene had been with the Washington Wizards since his trade from the Denver Nuggets in 2012.

Nene is no longer a starter quality big man but he's remained an effective rotation player.

Nice signing for Houston. Nene will work well with D'Antoni.

I like this signing.

Henderson & Covington is actually a plausible starting wing combination in the NBA, though it's still exceedingly mediocre.

Bayless - Henderson - Covington - Simmons - Noel

That's not an awful starting lineup.  Good blend of experience and quickness around Simmons.

not awful, true. with simmons passing the rest of them should get good scoring opportunities. and MAYBE noel can make up for simmons poor defensive efforts.

so, what do say pho, do the phillies break 25 wins? my bet is no.
