Am I crazy to be more excited about watching Yabusele play for the Celtics than I am Jayln Brown?  I really like this kid.

Yes you are crazy. I am not excited about either one of these picks. I much would have preferred Thaddeus Young to the French Tank. I guess if he and Sully set a double screen the shot clock could expire before the player can get around them.

I would have traded all those wasted firsts for ONE good player

S M H

Indeed.

There's a bright side to last night's horror, however.

Lots of laughs in the frantic attempts to spin this draft on this board.

One maybe, and a bunch of SMH picks.

Not trying to spin anything but this was a good draft based on where we want to go. We are an overachieving, rebuilding team that is the 5th youngest team in the league. It's weird for us to look at CBS resurrect the careers of ET and IT (to all star level) and then question their draft choices because ESPN didn't hype the prospect.

Any trade would have gutted our core or stifled our long-term potential. Especially when good pieces are available in Free Agency and we are an up and coming team.

Read Jaylen Brown's draft profile and then go and read Paul George's coming out of Fresno... extremely similar assessments. Based on "experts", I would have loved Davis as a young big, but all 1st round teams passed on him; so where is it coming from that he "fell" or was "good value" when the value was created by media houses. Even so, Ainge was able to flip him into a potential lottery 1st rounder (cuz this is the last run for the Clippers Big 3... 2019 pick is really valuable).

Yabusele seems to be a good find as well, his highlights show a lot of what we've been missing in the front court - athleticism.

This definitely wasn't an expected draft, but at least our 48-win, young core stays intact and we've acquired players that can potentially improve on areas of need... with free agency still to come.

Good Draft!!!

Wish people would stop saying this. Pick is lottery protected. Forever. Eventually turns into 2nd round selections.

It most likely will be a mid to late 1st , which is good value for two 2nd rounders that we weren't going to use anyway. It gives us a legit asset to add to our stock for future trades. Ainge is capable of turning this stuff into guys like Isaiah Thomas.

Thank you. That was probably the worst trade ever. Just gave away the 2 picks for a future Clipper throwaway player between 15-30 in the 2019 draft. Just terrible.

Who davis and zagorac??

Davis has a mediocre motor and avg 7 ppg. 5 rpg for a guy that was suppose to do much more for his team

Danny does not draft players like this. If you cant prove yourself at the college level then how can you or how long will it take for you to do it at the nba level??

Danny and many others told davis , you made a mistake and should of stayed another year.

Rabb is smart . Davis is impatient, greedy, does not want to develop and be ready to help out a nba team

I don't know anything about him besides the highlights I saw yesterday but it looks like he is what we wanted Sully to be, good size and works hard

I can see some Draymond in him, undersized power forward but plays very physical

I thought he was fat at first and thought he was literally a Sully 2.0 lol

Have you gone mad??

How can trading two second round players we had no place an space for, for a medium to late first be the worst trade ever??

I's not even bad. It's not neutral. It's a good trade.

We were never able to take on 8 picks. We traded two picks we couldn't use, for a better pick that we can use in the future. Good job Danny.

Exactly

And danny was not excited about anybody from 25 to 35 to warrant keeping the picks/trading up

Yabu, body wise, reminds me of Ike Diogu.

From what I've read of his game, he plays kind of like Toine.

Maybe he's a more athletic Ryan Gomes.

Should have made a better trade with perhaps the Nets to get another future pick from them rather than a 2019 lottery protected pick from the Clippers, Yes, I think pick number 28 in 2019 is really going to be valuable. Could have had a better plan with a better payoff than we got.  All these pics were supposed to be used in trades for an actual NBA player. It didn't happen.

No, it's just you and the same old half a dozen negative nancy's who like to crap all over everything the team does because you either like losing or thing there's only one way to accomplish something. The same old cast of characters acting out the same tired act.

There's no frantic attempts to spin this draft. The proof will be 3 or 4 years from now as it always is. In the meanwhile, you and your ilk have crapped all over every other move yet the team just about doubled its win total over the last couple of years which goes to show how truly little you guys know about the game of basketball.

Jaylen Brown will be an All Star in the next 5 years.
