OKC hit it out of the park tonight too

Yeah, I love the Oladipo trade. Him and Westbrook in the backcourt will be a tough on both ends.

I wonder where Dion Waiters ends up.

Maybe I should have put this in the other thread. I didn't see it

I can think of another place you might have put this...
Into a children's book with very small words for you to read? I didn't have time.

An intelligent Celtic fan is hard to find.  The worst part of being a Celtics fan is other Celtics fans.  Danny Ainge is killing this draft.

Not quite as good as your Kasparov post, but still quality.

Keep them coming. Every one that makes me laugh gets a TP.

Maker was a top 10 pick, as I predicted. A guy with his length and athleticism who can shoot goes early, regardless of age.

Who got traded worth the third pick?

Stop with the logic you're ruining the fun.  Lets go back to twitter rumors.

You do realize that his question is just barely relevant, and clearly not conclusive with regards to how things went down, right?

What do you know about how anything went down?  Again, it's all based on twitter rumors that have been completely conflicting both ways.  The certainty with which you guys try to talk about stuff you know nothing about is almost admirable.  I wish I had the confidence.
The trades that happened tonight aren't twitter rumors. They are real actual trades that really happened. Some teams did very well tonight. The Celtics aren't one of them.

Aren't you the one who just said Thad Young and Teague wouldn't have put us over?  You aren't making any sense.
I didn't say it would or wouldn't. They were good trades. Some teams made them tonight. The Celtics didn't. Then they cried about it.

The sky is falling!
No it's not. The Celts are just not doing their job and acting like they are. That's all.

So completely different teams in completely different situations with different rosters got players that wouldn't have really made us much better?  Okay.  Yeah that's really an argument.

The Dunn offer I saw just before the draft was Noel, Covington and two late no.1s. Sounds good, but Danny had other ideas. He better be right.

Could be Ainge passed on Dunn because he wouldn't work out. Did the same last year with Randle.

So what is your argument? Do you actually have one? Is your argument that the Celts did really great tonight?

Here. I'll put words in your mouth.  So you say the Celts did great tonight and got the best guy at the 3 spot and he's going to make a big difference. Wow. Yeah ok. Great argument.

So you say Jaylen Brown is going to put us over the top? Wow. Interesting argument.

Given your demonstrated mental and emotional age, maybe a children's book wouldn't have been a poor choice.  However, you'd struggle to find a publisher...

This whole thing where the Celts were only offered rip offs.....yeah. That's BS. We saw an all star go for the 12th pick and saw Thaddeus Young go for the 20th pick.

What it comes down to is that this is an owner that promised fireworks two years ago and his team simply hasn't gotten it done when it comes to using the assets the team has.

Hey Wyc....I don't believe you were only offered rip offs. Either that happened and you are incompetent to get things done....or....that didn't happen and you are lying to us.  So just stop. Just own it and say "We tried and we couldn't get it done."  And then shut up.  Open your mouth again when you get your job done. But not before. I don't hate Jaylen Brown at all. But coming away with a college freshman wasn't the job tonight.

I don't disagree with you at all. Anyone who believes a word Wyc says is just too dumb to be helped.

But at this point, it is what it is. This team has not improved itself and its primary weakness at all. At all.

Time to kick back and just laugh at the people on this board making excuses for yet another dismal draft night performance by the World's Smartest GM and the owner who will do anything to win. And Kennedy and Elvis are running a McDonald's in Portugal.

It isn't worth the angst. 18 has never been further away.

You said in another thread wyc promised fireworks. HE NEVER DID! He said there COULD, big difference.

This thread is an absolute joke...I am ashamed that some of you are fellow C' s fans..

You would rather see Danny make a bad trade just for the sake of it, than not.

You have zero idea what he was offered for the pick, so quit pretending you do.

The Celtics are still in a great place.

I wouldn't call Teague a star...and Thad Young isn't exactly a transcendent player.  Great value at #20, but he's not a game changer.

It's worth nothing that the Suns and Wolves could have taken over Boston's role in this "Draft Dunn and deal" thing - but they didn't.  So perhaps the deals being offered weren't so great after all.

LOL wow.

I'm saying there were no good trades there.  None of the trades that got done would have been good for the Celtics and you guys love to put stock in twitter rumors that I can easily find sources that say the opposite.  It's all BS.  You guys all sound like spoiled Lakers fans or something.  The team is rebuilding.  We won 48 games and we drafted the best players we could at the positions and avoided making bad trades.

Again, the certainty with which you guys speak about things you don't know about is pretty crazy.

Ainge pulled off one of the biggest trades of all time to get KG and I guess that made you guys think that it was easy and commonplace?  I don't know how else to explain it.

Maybe you could write one with a theme about as long as you try your best it's all ok with participation ribbons and stuff. You could call it The Great Danny Ainge Apologist Novel.
