That is 30 million in salaries coming to the Celtics.

We'd have to match salaries, right? What would that mean for outgoing players?

I wonder who our outgoing player(s) would be? My hunch says Jae Crowder and that makes me sad :(

Some people point out that Greg Monroe was a net negative on the court this season, and the Bucks were trying to unload his $17M/year contract. They were hoping to get a late first round/early second for him.

I merged the threads already.   He had the more descriptive title.

I don't know much about the source...Gery Woelfel, but twitter page says that he's a Basketball Insider....which isn't really saying much...

might just be click bait....he doesn't specicially name NBA sources, just "a Source"

"According to sources, the Bucks and Celtics are still exploring a potential deal that would send Khris Middleton to the Celtics. Middleton, who can also play small forward, is coming off a breakthrough season. He averaged 18.2 points and 3.8 rebounds. He is a top-flight shooter, connecting on 40 percent of his treys last season."

"One of the trade scenarios, a source said, is packaging Khris Middleton with veteran center Greg Monroe, whom the Bucks have been seriously shopping. It is known the Celtics have had interest in Monroe for a long time. In return for Middleton and Monroe, the Bucks could possibly acquire two first-round picks from the Celtics in today’s draft: Nos. 16 and 23, along with another player."

He definitely covers the team. Who knows if the report is reliable though.
We're the ones we've been waiting for.

So we get Monroe, who couldn't play next to Drummond, and Noel, who couldn't play next to Okafor. What a fantastically convoluted way to completely implode.

I dont believe we would.  Boston has the cap space to absorb as much as they need to

Amir and Jonas together only get you to 17. Maybe a sign and trade or something, but maybe with the salary cap going up it's not such a big deal. Plus you don't have to pay the picks. Further we have space. We only have like 52mill spoken for
