It was posted on the running ticker at the bottom of the page... then also in the article on Espn's main page... To me its part speculation and part truth ...

What we know is Philly really wants the #3 pick and Boston is not interested in anything besides those two players ...again a third team makes sense

Based on other trades, this value match is not that far off:

#12 = Teague = Hill
#20 = Thad Young

#3 =  #12 + #8(?)

Noel = Teague = #12

Okafor = #8 (about?)

Put this all together:

Noel + Okafor = #12 + #8 = #3

I would be happy with this trade.  I don't understand why Philly would trade both but I am fine from this end.  I would also substitute a (near) future 1st from Sixers or Lakers in place of one of the players.  That would seem to make more sense for PHI:

Say Noel + Lakers or Okafor + PHI 2017 (top 3 protect).

I see lots of ways to get this "done" (no pun)

I think Ainge wants to take Brown, so if he can flip Noel or Okafor for pick 5 or 6, or maybe flip both and get two picks in the 5-8 or 9 range, I think he would do it.

I don't want either player on the Celtics for anything.

Really simple:  Because while he was playing for one of the worst teams of all time, when he was on the court they were worse and when he was on the bench they were better.  His contribution to one of the worst teams of all time was to make them more bad.

I don't get into all this trade stuff and I don't like  Okafor but just because they didn't work together in Philly what makes you think they will never work? It's not like neither player doesn't have room to grow. Im not even sure that Okafor wasn't being a child and half-assing it. Are we sure he can't ever stretch his game out on offense? Noel is the defense.

at this point it should be noted that there's been rumors for a while that one of Ford's biggest sources is Danny Ainge and he often just acts as a mouthpiece for Ainge.  WHen i start to see stuff like this... #3 for Okafor AND Noel... I have to call shenanigans.

According to sources, the Bucks and Celtics are still exploring a potential deal that would send Middleton to the Celtics. Middleton, who can also play small forward, is coming off a breakthrough season. He averaged 18.2 points and 3.8 rebounds. He is a top-flight shooter, connecting on 40 percent of his treys last season.

One of the trade scenarios, a source said, is packaging Middleton with veteran center Greg Monroe, whom the Bucks have been seriously shopping. It is known the Celtics have had interest in Monroe for a long time.

In return for Middleton and Monroe, the Bucks could possibly acquire two first-round picks from the Celtics in today’s draft: Nos. 16 and 23, along with another player.
