I don't know. Dunn has not provided medical records/refused to workout for the Celts after repeated requests

Danny/CBS don't like this type of behavior.  This is how Smart was picked over Randle. Because randle refused to come back for a 2nd workout (a key reason)

If Ainge drafts either Brown or Dunn, he should be fired before the draft is even over.

HAHAHA TP

Dunn is already a senior .

His ppg (16) is not that great for a so called best player of the draft

Ingram averaged about the same, Brown averaged less, and Bender averaged pretty much nothing at all.  Hield averaged more but does have other question marks, Murray averaged more but has EVEN MORE question marks.

Personally I think Simmons and Dunn are the surest things in this draft.  I can't remember who it was, but one person in the media made a comment that Dunn is good enough to start for a playoff team right now - I tend to agree with that assessment.

Marcus Smart started for Boston as a rookie and the Celtics made the playoffs - and Dunn looks far more NBA ready right now then Smart was on draft day.

I honestly do think Dunn will probably end up a top 2 or 3 player from this draft - I just see a lot of John Wall / Kemba Walker in him, and he seems too skilled and talented to not be a really good player.

Fratello said tonite on NBA network that Bender needs to play another year in Israel.

The Czar is quite correct.
Coined the CelticsBlog term, "Euromistake."

Didn't Dunn refuse to work out for everybody?

Is Dunn better than Smart? That's what I'm hearing/reading so trade Smart for Noel? Go with a defensive grinding team that can't shoot!

I believe Dunn is on a whole other level compared to Smart - not even close. The only area where Smart has an advantage over Dunn is physical strength.  In every other aspect of the game Dunn is either on par with Smart (defense, rebounding, size) or significantly better (slashing, ball handling, passing, athleticism).
3 years ago Smart was better than Dunn was this year and they are the same age.

Also Id say Smarts a better defender and rebounder and Dunn turns it over at a higher rate.

No, he really wasn't.

Been predicting Dunn for a long time.

good trade asset or excuse to let ET go.

Starters ...IT and Bradley

Second team ...Dunn and Smart

Pretty tuff set of guards .

Just give him Turner's minutes as ballhandler. Dunn has a bigger wingspan and is a better defender. Only reason we wouldn't have room to play him, is if we resign Turner or must give more minutes to Rozier.

So we are ditching one of our better 6'7" players and giving his minutes to an unproven 6'3" rookie.

No thank you

Why is it that when people on this board don't like somebody, they always put the shrink ray on them?

Dunn is 6'4" not 6'3".

As for your other question, there are plenty of guys we could trade to make room for Dunn, if he ends up as good as he looks like he'll be.

1. Bradley
2. Smart
3. Rozier
4. Turner

If Dunn ends up as good as he looks, he'll be a major upgrade over any of those guys at either guard spot.

Smart was absolutely better than Dunn when they were both freshman and sophomore. Then Dunn dominated weak college competition and Smart played rotation minutes for two playoff teams, yet people seem to think Dunn is better. I don't buy it.

Btw, TP for asking earlier who I would prefer to Dunn. I would be happy if we selected any one of Brown, Bender or Murray.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Dunn is not as quick as Wall/Walker.  And he has sneaky explosiveness. He is not Russell Westbrook explosive. Not even Jaylen Brown explosive

Watching him drive to the basket. He does alot of herky jerky type moves to try to score over taller players.  In college this might work ok but not in the NBA.   His shot looks ok but not great. He doesn't elevate at the highest pt before shooting.  He kind of shoots the ball like Smart (arm windback).

His passing, rebounding , defense are solid for sure.

Again if Danny picks him, please trade Rozier

I didn't watch either one much in college. But a quick glance at the stats shows that they were pretty similar to each other. Smart in his soph year was better than Dunn this year.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

I think if they keep Dunn, you'll see them draft Bentil. He can really shoot for a 4. Has an NBA body.

Just got a bleacherreport notification

I don't think that Bleacher Report is credible.
It was a report from some ESPN guy.

It said Dunn is the favorite. It's not set in stone yet.

Goodman, meanwhile, has said its still between Dunn and Brown.

The mentality here amazes me. People hate on BR yet they're a legit site.  Andy Katz has only been working at ESPN  for over 16 years. You know, other people can have info other than Woj!
BR used to have mostly clickbait articles until recently; iirc it got much better this season.

For what it's worth, DX also has us picking Kris Dunn, so the info looks credible to me.

The Celtics doctor conducted Dunn's past surgery. Dunn is a New England kid from a local school, the Celtics know him better than any other NBA team does, and Ainge has said something to that effect several times, that they know Dunn extremely well. Also, he didn't work out for any team , not just the Celtics. Dunn also stated twice in the last week that he would be honored to be drafted by the Celtics and he would be comfortable playing here.

Great can't wait to see ****ing Stevens never play him so we can get into playoffs and lose to Charlotte.

What the heck are you referencing and why the hate for Stevens????

He's right.  When's the last time Brad played a PG taken in the lottery big minutes in their rookie season?

Based on what I've seen from BitterJim so far, he's kidding  ;D
