So all Atlanta got for Teague was 12 in a thin draft?

Wow.

PG is a deep position and getting deeper.  I don't think there is good value unless the guy is a superstar.  I don't think Teague sets himself apart that much.

Teague is also a FA or RFA

Yeah good call there too.

To my point, I think we can see even the promising young PGs/combo guards the Celtics have don't seem to have much value.

Teague is a pretty good player to get for just giving up the 12th pick. Celtics can't get a much better player with the 3 pick?? I think teams are posturing. If a team falls in love with Dunn then Celts are in the drivers seat.

What is Utah doing?

If I had to guess, trying to keep Hayward happy to avoid losing him next year
I'm bitter.

So does that decrease the chances Big Al resigns with the Hawks?

Utah trading the 12th pick for George Hill is.... sure a move....

They don't need another project. All they were going to get with that pick was another backup. They're trying to make the playoffs next year.

It'll all be worth it when they lose in the first round.

They should take on all projects if that means they have potential.  They aren't a good enough team.  Not even close.

Making it to the first round is a hell of a lot better than what they've done the past three seasons.

Oh, no, they missed out on the chance to draft another guy like George Hill or Jeff Teague in favor of just acquiring that guy right now. How ever will they cope with missing out on what would more than likely top out as a role player?

Three-way deal with Atlanta, Indiana and Utah, with George Hill going to the Jazz, league sources tell @TheVertical.

Hmmm, must be #12 and maybe a second rounder or two to ATL?

I don't get this move from Indy's perspective, Hill was great for them last year

I think Bird wants a more dynamic PG on his roster. Teague P. George and Myles Turner should be pretty good in 2017.

pick 12 to Atlanta

Wait, that's really it?  They gave up a proven NBA starter for the #12 pick?  Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.?!?  Why can't we get proven players for our picks then?  I'm telling you people are afraid to trade with Ainge.  He's got everybody spooked.

Why didn't Utah just trade directly with Atl for Teague?

On another note, Teague for the 12th is great value even if it's Indy that got the value. Hopefully Danny is seeing this and is pushing for more  from Philly than Okafor (and especially more than Noel!) in a trade for #3.

Enjoy the useless first round exit.

1) Jeff Teague is a lot better than Hill but you are lumping them together.

2) Give me a risky guy with potential at 12 over George Hill, who is only getting worse and is average at best (BEST) anyways.  This draft is actually very flat (as in later picks still have good value) past the first few picks.  There is great value to be had at 12.  Give me Sabonis over George Hill any day of the week.

George Hill is going to make Hayward happy?  George Hill?

Great move for I guess both Indy and Utah. ATL is on the decline and this should decrease the chances of Horford resigning. Im not sold on Schroder, are they targetting Dejuntay Murray with #12?

If #12 gets you Teague, then the market value of #3 is looking quite good!

Start of a rebuild in Hot-lanta?

Or is 12 used in another deal?

A lot depends on Horford's decision.

If he blasts, I can see them trading off Milsap/Korver/etc and going young with Schroeder.

Although, if Horford leaves, DHoward could well want to play at home, and they use the 12 to get a vet.
