Finally DX seems to recognize we're doing some draft and stash, I'd be thrilled with this crop.

03 Dunn
16 Zubac
23 Kormaz
31 Yabiusele
35 Papagiannis
45 Whitehead
51 Payton
58 Bolomboy

I will be shocked if Caris Levert is available at 45, but if pass on him there I will be very angry.  Otherwise, I generally appreciate the number of draft-and-stash's in this version.  The C's aren't bringing in more than three rookies next year, and even that would be a stretch.  If they can't work out trades, this is definitely the way the draft should look.

Does that mean we're trading it no matter what?

No.  If there's no trade available, I think that means Evan Turner will not be a Celtic next year.  There are a lot of available minutes for Dunn if he's NBA-ready.

I think you're dead on here. It's what has persuaded me that drafting Dunn is ok. I'd rather have Turner back next year but everything is fluid with us at the moment so..

Behind Thomas on a win-now team?  I'm not so sure about that.  I'd much rather take Hield who doesn't need to usurp our already-top-notch back court rotation.  He'd compliment what we are doing and become that added scoring threat & floor spacer alongside IT that we so desperately need.

drafting a PG that isn't the sure fire #1 prospect in the draft really scares me.  I could care less about what he did in college --- considering the number of elite PG's in the L right now --- I just don't see the ceiling that everyone else is imagining for him.  I have a feeling he'll struggle against pros for a few years.

I think we might have to ship off someone like Smart. We'd have IT, Bradley, Smart, Rozier and now Dunn. I think Smart is out sometime after July 1

If those are the picks I'll be watching another team.  Another year of mediocrity with young players rotting on the bench.  No thanks

Don't have to ship anyone off. Let Turner walk. Jettison Young.

IT, AB, MS, Dunn, Rozier, Hunter

Yeah, I'm with you. Granted, I'm not all that high on Dunn, but legitimately having IT, Smart, Bradley, and Dunn just won't work, let alone Rozier who also deserves backup minutes. We're already seeing the effects of Smart's limited development due to Turner's presence with ball-handling, so I'm definitely not keen on keeping Dunn without some sort of other trade.

Perhaps if we would keep Dunn Danny would know that we're shipping someone like Bradley off for a vet like Love or Butler.

Dunn isn't a lock. He's an option. Draft express doesn't know what Danny's thinking.

A guy who missed two years due to shoulder injuries and who won't show his medicals to the Celtics? Doesn't seem like a great fit.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Yes behind Thomas on a win-now team.  Evan Turner played 28 minutes a game last season.  They have a similar game -- good ballhandling, passing, and mediocre shooting.  Turner probably offers a bit more defensive versatility due to the fact he's really a wing in defense, but Dunn is probably the better defender.

Dunn will have a cap hit just south of $4 million.  Turner could require up to $10 million to re-sign.  That $6 million extra could be very important in upgrading the positions we need to upgrade, which is the frontcourt, whether it's a superstar or just a good starter.

If there's no trade, Dunn is absolutely the best win-now pick.  The jury is out as to whether he will be the best pick for five year's from now.  But next year, there is a vacant role that fits his skill set, and the replacement cost in free agency would be greater than his salary.
