Though I think the Middleton for #3 rumor is a smokescreen to get Philly to pay more, if we're serious about possibly trading with Milwaukee, we need to focus on Parker not Middleton.
By all accounts, they love Middleton just as much, if not more, than Parker. They're also desperate for a good point guard prospect, and Dunn would fit perfectly in that defensive-minded group. Further, it's no secret that their current trio of Parker, Giannis, and Middleton don't really fit well together, because they all play two spots in the 3/4 forward area. They also severely lack shooting, which is why losing Middleton would be very difficult for them.
Thus, this trade makes a lot of sense all around. Not only do they get their point guard prospect in Dunn that's an absolute perfect fit in defensive-minded Milwaukee, they also add a better-fitting Bradley to their roster, which allows them to shift Middleton and Giannis to the 3 and 4, respectively. Further, Bradley brings much more shooting than Parker, which is severely needed on that squad.
For us, we get our franchise star that would slot in perfectly at the 4 spot for us, and we also get #10, which could be used on a Poeltl type center, combined with 16 to move up and nab one of the consensus top-8, or nab one of the top-8 that falls on draft night.
So who says no? I would love this deal, and I think it works pretty well for both sides. Though I would legitimately be concerned of making Milwaukee a powerhouse in a couple of years, ESPECIALLY defensively.
