TT played a monster series..without him they dont win squat.  Something you cant say about Love which was practically David Lee with a three pointer. Stay away from Love DA!!!

Love wasn't a dud last night.  Had a solid basketball game.

Pathetic Finals performance.     And he is getting paid how much money??

He had no clue what he was doing out there the last several games.  Just rode on Irving, Lebron, Thompsons back

Please Danny do not trade for this overrated player

Your bias is showing once again. Can't wait till you start showing clips of Love's misses while you totally ignore anything positive. You need to watch the games.

Complete nonsense. Watch a game next ime.

are you serious?? lol

for the final series, review at his stats and you re-watch the whole series

Love and Harrison Barnes were by standers.   Some foolish team is going to pay up or give up valuable assets for pilons

Have to respectfully disagree. I thought he played very well last night. !4 rebounds, got to show a little low post games, AND got to give him credit on defensive job he did on Curry in the last minute.
Don't know that I would give away the farm, but I think he'd fit in very well here.

Did you also notice the endless hot potato game with irving and lebron?

What kind of so called all star talent does that ,not only yesterday but the whole series. He was basically a ghost

And again more than half of those rebounds was with nobody around

All I'm saying is, I don't think it's really fair to call him a dud. The guy averaged  26 points and 12 rebounds in Minny just 2 years ago.
I think that sometimes players or the roles they have don't mesh well on some teams. I believe used differently he can still be a very effective player, and I think the Celtics could be that place. I'd certainly take him as an upgrade for Sully.

Played very well in game 7 though.

If you're fixated on the box score you probably won't believe it, but he did.

Right. Grabbing those defensive rebounds with nobody around.   He probably advised Tristant Thompson you do all the dirty work, guarding Curry while I stay back and grab the easy ones

yeah he had a few nice running hooks.  But outside of that was playing hot potato with Lebron and Irving.    Basically telling them, you guys do something

He should be making half of what Lebron/Irving make

I still think the Cavs are going to trade him

I agree with Triboy. I don't want him.  Makes us a worse defensive team. His rebounding numbers from last night were inflated, not really many contested ones.

When Love was on the floor this series they outscored the GSW by a healthy margin, when he was off the floor they did a lot worse.

He helped last night.  He was a -7 in the series coming into Game 7 though.

I think last night was the first game where Love looked comfortable, even though his shot wasn't falling.

There was one piece of defensive play where he looked Amare Stoudemire witches hat like on defense.

Do not want.

The stat I saw was offensive and defensive rating. So think possession control must have shifted the -7 into a positive. Though in a single series sample size is very small for both metrics.

It's not so much that Love is a dud, he has skills, he has an uncanny awareness of knowing where the ball will come of the rim on a missed shot. He grabs rebounds by being in the right place at the right time. He can shoot the three very well if given the chance, and can also score in the post. He also passes well.

With the ball in LBJ's hand 75% of the time, he's not really looked for on the offensive end. Love needs a confidence transplant on his next team.

Lebron James knows the value of toughness, grit and defense, Lebron has it, in spades, and Love just ain't got it. He tried as hard as he could for Lebron, but never seemed to satisfy him.

Love is a max paid, complementary player. A good one, but still a complementary player. He won't lead you anywhere.

This makes no sense

Not sure if the Cavs are going to trade him but I'm sure they will think about it once the offseason starts

The guy just agreed with you - of course it makes sense.

TP, Rosco, those are my feelings on Love, too.

to be fair James was only at +22 and that includes his +24 from Game 3 when Love didn't play.

Love actually had a better +/- than James in all 3 Cavs losses in the Finals and was significantly better in the Game 5 and Game 7 victories.  Love played so few minutes Game 6 it is hard to get a real read on that one, but James was much better overall with the altered minutes.

Love gets a lot of crap, but much of it is undeserved.  He actually played pretty well when he was on the floor all series long even though his numbers may not reflect it.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Love played well last night, but this series really turned around for the Cavs when they started giving more time to the lineups with two guards plus Jefferson, James, and Thompson.

That should be the basic look they go with moving forward.  Jefferson is retiring so they'll need to find a combo wing with a similar skillset to replace him.  Maybe they can find a way sign and trade for Marvin Williams or something.

I actually think Rudy Gay could work well next to LeBron.  Love to Sacto?  That'd be fun.
