Jamal Murray.  Cannot believe more here are not pushing for this guy.  We need a dead eye long range shooter.  Love Danny but he just a fair drafter and will most likely go for his usual best athlete that cannot shoot.  Smart, Rozier, T Allen, Banks ect.  Jaylen Brown sure does fit but I cannot handle all the clanks much longer.  This team cannot shoot and Jamal Murray is special.  I think Calapari may be correct in saying he is the best player in the draft.  Get us a SHOOTER Danny.  I beg.

He is a very good shooter. But why can't you grab good shooters later in the draft??

A guy with Browns combination of physical tools/skills do not exist later in the draft

Maybe Dembry . But he is 6'5

Only shooters you will find later in the draft are your RJ Hunters and James Youngs.  There is something about Murrays game that is special.  He just has a savvy about him on the court and that jumper is Curryish.  Worried about that J on Brown.  Just tired of the bricks.

Agree. I hope Murray (or even Hield) is the guy. But knowing Danny, he will take Brown. I just know it. I'll be very happy if he surprises me and doesn't take him. But if I was a betting man, I would bet a decent amount of money that he will take Brown.

Yeah, I'm with you on that one, unfortunately.  I wouldn't get your hopes up.  Oh well, at least we can make 'what can brown do for you' jokes next season :-\. That's all I've got right now.  I'm really grasping at straws, here, man, haha.  If Jaylen slips on the court and they have to mop it up, can we say that Brown left a skid mark, lol? ;D

Those dudes are Young and Hunter.  Young and Hunter had better college seasons than all of those four and were higher ranked as well.

Agree with both of you.  Good shooters later in this draft.  But also think Murray and Hield both have a special quality that will spell lots of points.  Hield will score with more volume.  Murray will score when needed (sort of how it's easy to cover a shooter for a half or 3 quarters but eventually they get free and start to burn defenders...Murray will be like that in the NBA...a second half/4th quarter scorer...he'll also do the opposite at times meaning score a ton first quarter then get shut down..but still dangerous).  Hield more even scoring throughout games.

To me, Jamal Murray is a poor man's Khris Dunn.
Dunn is better at everything except 3 point shooting. He's  a better athlete, better measurables, better dribble penetrator, and his shooting stroke is beautiful.
He also shot 37% from 3.

Why take Murray over Dunn or Hield? Because he's younger? He'll never have the defensive impact potential that Dunn has.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I'm ok with any non guard projected to go top 8 (Chriss, Bender, Brown)

I'm ok with trading for Jimmy Butler.

I'll break my television if the pick is traded for Okafor.

Hield, Prince, Zizic - unless there is a way to trade up for Sabonis from 16, which I would endorse.

Unfortunately, I think we are picking Brown. He seems like an Ainge guy.

I wish Ainge would pick Bender, but I doubt it because he wants to win now, not develop a potential star. In which case, I think trading for Jimmy Butler would be the best move.

Its Jaylen Brown. No need to help Philly by taking their unload of Okafor. Keep the picks n build through the draft. We have a few deep drafts the next couple years. Let's not overpay for guys like Butler and let's not pick projects like Bender. Brown is the guy

I think we will pick Brown or Dunn (Dunn could be traded on draft night to Philly).

I hope we will pick Chriss. I really feel he will become the best player of this draft. (yes, you can come back to me on that one)

I would like the C's to pick Dunn and trade with Philly for one of their big men.  It would help both teams as long as the C's don't give up any of their current core players.  We need to continue to add pieces to the team and look for a stud FA.

I cant decide on any, but would probably go bender if we keep it.

Hopefully we trade it.
Sth like:

Celtics get: Butler
Bulls get: Okafor+Bradley/Crowder
76ers get: 3rd Pick (Dunn, whom they reportedly love)

+ filler obviously and maybe lesser picks involved

Dunn if we keep it
He seems like the closest consensus bpa after simmons and ingram, even despite our plethora of guards
