Could LA be gambling on KD and thats why they are thinking Heild instead of Ingram?

If so, they have a pair on them, I'll give them that.

Surely they're not that arrogant and naive.

I think they gambled on getting Love or Cousins last summer and passed on Okafor for that reason, and are now looking to move Russell because him and Clarkson aren't exactly complimentary pieces. So yeah, I wouldn't put it past them.

I hope he drops to third.
According to Ford, the consensus amongst scouts and front offices is that Hield is a 4th-tier level prospect (projects as a borderline role player/starter) in the 8-14 range.  So I hope he drops to 16.

Pretty sure he'll be gone in the top seven.  I'd love to roll the dice on him at three.

Ford's tiers are a joke.

I think it was Aldridge they gambled on. Yeah they were stupid to do that.

And they gambled on Howard with one year left on his contract who left and brought in Nash who broke down.

Lets hope they think third times a charm. :)

This isn't Ford's tiers this is what he's hearing from the scouts. Now the question becomes are scouts pumping him bad info to get Buddy to fall to them.

The point isn't whether or not he's getting good or bad info.  The point is there is no reliable info.  It's all guess work, pure and simple.  It's slightly educated guesswork, but guesswork nonetheless.

usually pretty reliable actually

His tiers seem to always reflect how the prospects are seen and drafted.

Particularly after the post draft revisions have been completed.
