https://twitter.com/CelticsLife/status/743827978388443137?ref_src=twsrc%5EtfwI'm not sure where they pulled this from, but apparently Ford thinks we've narrowed our search down to Brown, Dunn, Chriss, and Murray for the number three pick, though he ultimately thinks we'd rather trade it for a star first.
It seems likely that at least one of these will fall to 8 with Sacramento. Outside of Dunn, I don't see Sacramento having much interest in Murray, Brown, or Chriss, because they're needing perimeter defensive AND offensive help that no rookie in that range can actually provide. They're desperately trying to make the playoffs and do enough to convince Cousins not to bolt in 2018, so they'd be looking for a vet that can help them make it back to the playoffs.
So let's say that we take Jaylen Brown at 3, and one of Murray or Chriss falls to number 8 at Sacramento. Would you trade either Crowder or Bradley straight up for the number 8 pick for either Murray or Chriss? Why or why not? Though I think Sacramento would happily do that trade, do you think they would deny it?
If we could nab Chriss at 8 for Crowder and go a little younger with a core of Smart, Rozier, Brown, and Chriss, that'd be an extremely good haul for this draft, especially if we're not able to actually trade for any stars. That's a potentially deadly forward combo in a few years, and both of them might have higher ceilings than anyone else on our roster with Smart being the only one challenging them.
