  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.

You really want Chriss at 3? Over-hyped.

Danny will swing for the fenches. Chriss has a really high upside

So does Jaylen Brown...lol.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Stating the obvious, Chad Ford. Of course they're seriously considering him.
Next week you'll write about how they're seriously considering Bender, then Chriss, then Murray. Yay. These are the top prospects to seriously consider. Is the draft here yet?

Last time we drafted a freak athlete named Brown, things didn't go so well.

Just worried that this kid is more of a workout warrior/metrics freak than a basketball player.

I don't believe that Brown was a #2 recruit coming out of High School.  If I recall, he did some Juco time, prior to committing to LSU, before opting for the draft.

People are talking about his shooting, but this tells me his head is on straight and he's prepared:

"said his performance was stellar. Shot the ball really well. Was in great shape."

I liked him before. I like him more now.

I think it comes sometime in August. Ya know, right after the NBA finals end.

The Kedrick Brown thing was said more tongue in cheek but I do have a concern about some of these rather raw uber athletes.

Jimmy Butler on Bill Simmons podcast mentioned that he likes Brown the best out of all the college players.  He said that he played against him and was really impressed. He thought he was going to be great.  Brown was the only one he mentioned.

Kedrick brown excelled against level 2 competition

Brown did not "excel" against div 1 competition. Def showed flashes of domination. Also didnt have much help

But this could also mean he is not an alpha dog type player

If he came back for year 2 in college many would bet he would of done better

This type of projection/risk is for danny and co to figure out

Interesting. Brown reminds me a lot of Jimmy Butler.

Just hard to get excited about DeMar DeRozan upside - DD's a good player, but he has an irritating style. An endless march to the free throw line.

2025 Draft: Chicago Bulls

PG: Chauncey Billups/Deron Williams
SG: Kobe Bryant/Eric Gordon
SF: Jimmy Butler/Danny Granger/Danilo Gallinari
PF: Al Horford/Zion Williamson
C: Yao Ming/Pau Gasol/Tyson Chandler

I think Brown will get better at shooting.
and may i ask the basis for your opinion? that is, what specifically leads you think that he will improve? not all players get substantially better at shooting.

thanks.

His shot isn't broken. It's actually looks pretty good when looking at his release point, follow through, and shooting elbow. I do think that it does have the potential to get better with the increased reps he'll be getting in the pros.
