Spoke to several teams that had Cal forward Jaylen Brown in for draft workouts. All 3 said his performance was stellar. Shot the ball really well. Was in great shape. After a shaky freshman season, he may be rising in the draft. He has elite physical tools. Celtics seriously considering him at 3.

Brown is Danny's type of player. If we keep the pick, I expect it'll be Brown or Murray.

He's been my guy all year.  I've wavered a bit at times, looking in to other players, but never completely off of the choice.   Brown is my guy for sure!

I really like him...although I have wavered after reading about Bender, Chriss, and Murray.

But I think Brown would be an excellent choice.

Last time we drafted a freak athlete named Brown, things didn't go so well.

Just worried that this kid is more of a workout warrior/metrics freak than a basketball player.

I think we are going to pick at #3 because, as usual, other teams chicken out when they talk with Danny.
That's fine, let the warriors and the cavs compete another 2, 3 years and we'll be ready.
It starts by picking Brown, the higher upside player of this draft at #3.

Brown is Danny's type of player. If we keep the pick, I expect it'll be Brown or Murray.

Brown seems like an Ainge pick. Athletic raw guy that can't really shoot.

Isn't next year's draft filled with 4's and 5's that are supposedly 5-star recruits? Perhaps that's why he's leaning more towards Jaylen rather than the bigs of Bender and Chriss in this draft.

The Brown pick does puzzle me a bit with Crowder's emergence, though. Maybe Crowder will ultimately be dealt in a Butler deal or something?

I'd absolutely love it if Brown or Chriss fell on draft night, which is very possible, and we picked one with the third pick and moved up with someone like Sacramento for the other.
Recovering Joe Skeptic, but inching towards a relapse.

I think Brown will get better at shooting.

I'm not.  His stats in conference play, which are better to judge freshmen by because non-conference schedules are so uneven and there's an adjustment to just being in college, were 16/5/2, shooting 34.5% from three.  He's definitely a basketball player.  He's not being considered in the top 5 due to workouts alone.

You really want Chriss at 3? Over-hyped.

I'm fine with Brown, Dunn, or Chriss.

Danny will swing for the fenches. Chriss has a really high upside

Already did - his name was Jeff Green.
