That LeBron is an amazing physical marvel and that he is a top 5 player of all - time.  He led a team to do what no other team has ever done and his life's mission is now complete.

(That's what I think will be said...not necessarily what I believe).

I think he'd finally seal the deal on being the best ever.

I always said when I left the Celtics, I could not go to heaven, because that would
be a step down. I am pure 100 percent Celtic. I think if you slashed my wrists, my
blood would’ve been green.  -  Bill "Greatest of All Time" Russell

Am I the only Celtics fan rooting for the Cavs?

I am

jk, I don't know who I am really rooting for. In a way I really want to see LeBron finally win one for CLE. In another way, Warriors broke the 72-10 record, so it's kinda useless for them to break it and not win...

idk, I originally had Cavs in 6, going into game 7, i really don't know who I should be rooting for

ESPN will kiss the Cavs and Lebron's ass for the next twenty years. That's the story.

The NBA rigged it to have the series go longer, rumor is Cavs asked the NBA to suspend Green 2 games.

Warriors this series seem to be playing like the 15-16 Celtics.

When they beat the Cavs it looks amazing and everything goes right.

BUT when they lose they look pedestrian, dazed, and always playing catch up.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

Biggest. Collapse. Ever.

This and more of this.

When you have a record setting historic season people won't think about the 3rd best players one game suspension, they will remember how you set yourself up for greatness and basically let the rug pull itself out from under you. In slow motion.

That being said I think GS gets it done on Sunday. I don't see LeBron and Kyrie having this many dominating games left in them. Plus they just went to a game 7 against a equally talented OKC team and closed it out. Just a warning, it could be low scoring and brutal.

"LeBron is officially top 5 All-time"

I'm rooting for the Cavs, never thought I would say it though. It's more so the Warriors arrogance that I don't like, and LeBron is starting to become a LITTLE bit more likeable for me as he has aged, similar to Kobe.

Warriors will still be a tough beat at home in game 7 regardless of their previous form, although Iggy is basically the only Lebron stopper I've seen, and his back injury could decide the game if Iggy can't slow him down and hit some 3's. In which case Barnes needs to show up, unless JR is equally as bad which is also likely.

The narrative will be a mix of "73 wins meant nothing" and "Lebron silenced the critics of his legacy".

I'M THE SILVERBACK GORILLA IN THIS MOTHER... AND DON'T NONE OF YA'LL EVER FORGET IT!

Was this when he was winning championships 15 and 16 (16 against the Cs) or when he essentially missed three seasons in a row. I'll assume you mean the latter since it's hard to root against someone when they are constantly injured.

As for the OP's question, Draymond's suspension will be the immediate memory, but it will long be remembered as the biggest collapse/useless 73 win season - think Pats in '07. Lebron will get his due, but anytime a record breaking team loses a 3-1 finals lead (for the first time ever), that is going to matter.

Probably vaults Lebron into "Mount Rushmore," unfortunately most likely at the expense of Bird.

This is like the worst thing I have ever read on CB. I thought the half-Bird / half-Magic head was solidly in third behind MJ and Russell. Please let that be the case.

So far it appears the main story line is the City of Cleveland finally wins, mixed in with Lebron James' greatness and a bit of the Green suspension.
2025 Historical Draft - Cleveland Cavaliers - 1st pick

Starters - Luka, JB, Lebron, Wemby, Shaq
Rotation - D. Daniels, Mitchell, G. Wallace, Melo, Noah
