DX is really plugged in, so I take notice when they have now movement like Murray at #8, Hernangomez at #20, and Ulis out of the first round.

Our picks :

3- Chriss
16- Richardson
23- Valentine
31- B. Johnson
35- Maker
45- Hammons
51- Layman
58- Bolomboy

If we go Chriss at 3 and Malachi at 16 I might put a piece of furniture through my tv.

Also, I see Valentine going in the 20's in mocks but I don't understand it at all. He's a great shooter at a time when shooting is at a premium. I don't think he's much worse than Buddy.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

A mock based on team needs in which we pick no international stash candidates with our first four picks?

I don't think so.

I don't see Richardson as much of an NBA player.

Though admittedly little, I've really liked what I've seen from Chriss. I love his upside, and I'd start him at the 4 from day one. He's got great guys on both sides of him in Crowder and Amir to help him along defensively, and we should encourage him to spread the floor as much as possible, along with being another lob partner for IT with his insane athleticism. The rebounding will come along, especially if he's a good O rebounder and not a good D rebounder.

I bet Triboy would blow a gasket seeing Sabonis available at 16 and Boston not grabbing him lol

I agree with all your points. Chriss is a player that has risen fast, but that rebounding scares the hell out of me. That's a skill that translates, so if he struggled (to put it mildly) in college, how bad is he going to do on the next level? This screams of a lack of instincts, timing, motor, and/or positional strength. A lot of times you have these athletic players rise (see Swift, Ty Thomas, etc.) and bomb at the next level. He could be next.

Richardson's shooting percentage/shot selection scare me off too, but I could live with it considering he's at #16.

I too love Valentine. The guy is a plug and play in any system with his versatility. I also wonder why Hield is unanimously ranked higher. Hield is a slightly better shooter and has more athletic ability, but Valentine is the far superior rebounder and passer, could run PNR effectively, and has enough size and skill to play 3 positions.

If the draft falls like DX projects I would go with

3- Bender
16- Valentine
23- Zizic (stash)
31- Maker (hopefully agrees to stash)
35- Cornelie (stash)
45- Hammons (high reward/low risk at this spot)
51- Uthoff (give him a look to see if he makes the team)
58- Fall (stash, not sure if he's still in)

DX has two mock drafts. This one is basically a big board. The other is the extended mock where team needs are factored and it's more in depth as to what the thinking is.

I don't think it has anything to do with his shooting or passing skills.  Rather, at least imo, it has more to do with the fact that he can't go left, despite being a senior, lol, and his serious lack of athleticism and quickness, which, coupled with his size, understandably leads to serious questions regarding who he can guard at the next level, if anyone, as he's not quick enough to guard 2s, let alone point guards, and he's simply too small to guard 3s.  I'd much rather have Caris LeVert.

I'm excited about the Maker at 35 pick, and the Valentine at 23 Pick.

I am livid that we'd pass on Sabonis at 16 in favor of Richardson. Seeing Luawawu and Korkmaz go 14/15 gives me nightmares.

And I want Bender at 3. I don't want to reach to take Chriss.
My biases, in order of fervor:
Pro:
Smart, Brown, Hayward, Tatum, Kemba, Grant Williams, Sleepy Williams, Edwards!

Anti:
Kanter, Semi, Theis, Poierier

The experts say he's a legitimately bad defender with below average athleticism and question how effective his can be without the ball in his hands.

All of this is on point. The DX tapes have Defense listed as his number one issue. Usually a bad omen as their videos reveal. He's really, really weak. Neither Murray or Hield have Defense as their biggest weakness and both have issues, especially Murray.

I wouldn't draft Valentine in the first round.

Chriss and malachi could turn into really valuable players, or be a couple of James Young type busts. Two guys that wow with the eye test but look horrible by the numbers.

I suppose I'm in favor of swinging for the fences, but yeah, that'd set my teeth on edge.

It's a little more confusing than that.

Here is their "Top 100 Ranking", which is there actual 'big board' that ranks players independent of the draft or team needs:

http://www.draftexpress.com/rankings/Top-100-Prospects/

They have two 'Mock Draft' pages.  One, is the "Extended" one that you provided up above, that has some explanatory text next to each player explaining the reasoning behind the pick.   That was last updated on May 17.  It has the Celtics taking Bender, Prince & Zizic with their first 3 picks.

http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-mock-draft-extended.php

Finally, though, they have their 'Mock Draft' that simply lists the players in order that they (presumably) believe they will be picked, with no explanatory text.  This is the 'Mock Draft' link from the menu on their front page.  It was updated June 13 and has us taking Chriss, Richardson & Valentine.

http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-mock-draft/2016/

I have no idea why they haven't updated the 'extended' mock or why they even bother to maintain two separate lists.

Yeah, agreed.

I don't really understand the rational yet behind DE's recent mock draft changes.

Hoops hype said that Valentine knees are a major red flag and some organizations think he'll have a short career.  Others think that he might not be able to make it through an 82 game season.  t.Ullis also has red flags, only for him its his hip.
