I saw this while I was reading articles this morning before work....watch the guys face.

http://www.sbnation.com/lookit/2016/6/14/11931008/kevin-love-lebron-high-five-sad-cavaliers-nba-finals

Could Love value get any lower?  Could he want anything other than to leave this team?

As I stated on another thread, I'm not interested in Love if he costs us the 3rd pick but if we can move our other first round picks for him and a current player on our team I would take the chance.

Thoughts?

While it's a fun story, that's not what happened at all.

Just ask yourself, why would Love try to high five LeBron after a play where Kyrie missed a layup and Tristan Thompson got fouled on the put back and LeBron didn't even touch the ball at all for the entire possession?

Here's the full play:
https://streamable.com/i80t

And here's an article:
http://thebiglead.com/2016/06/14/everyone-writing-that-kevin-love-was-trying-to-high-five-lebron-james-is-a-total-liar/
Yup.  100% was not looking for a high five.

Did you boys really need to go on a fact finding mission here? It was better as a satire. Genius, I'd say...

Yes.

Here's the play with Love getting dunked on, partially because he didn't box out:

And here's the immediate aftermath of Lebron staring down Love in disgust:

It carried over into a heated conversation as soon as there was a whistle.

But yeah, I do think Love should be traded.  Bad fit.

Love is one of the top 10 worst defenders in the nba

It hurts my eye watching him try to play D

What should have happened on that defensive play?  From what i can see in the video It looked like Love was basically stuck in a position where he had to try to defend/box out both Iguodala and Ezeli and if anything Lebron kind of left him hanging  by not getting in better position on Ezeli.

I don't really consider myself an expert on X's and O's, so I'd love to hear the opinion of someone a little more well versed in bball fundamentals.

Love is playing weak under the rim along with everything else in these playoffs. LeBron was basically saying toughen up and grab a rebound. You need to bang down there.

That's accurate - but you're interrupting a Kevin Love hate fest here. I'm sure they'll make something else up so the play is entirely Love's fault - which it was not.

[dang], that change of emotion of Love...kinda feel bad for him, there was another play in yesterday;s game where Shumpert did an inbound play but overpassed which caused LeBron to commit a backcourt. That instant, LeBron threw the ball up in the air, won't that usually be a technical?

Playing with LeBron must be really tough in my opinion.

I was thinking the same thing. Anyone else would have gotten a technical for throwing the ball in frustration, or at the very least a delay of game warning. Lebron got nothing called on him for that.

Love is a solid team defender, but he's a pure four who struggles in space. Of course he looks terrible when he's put in a position to look terrible on that team.

Our own Jared Sullinger and Kelly Olynyk rated as above average defenders this year in Brad's system. They'd look ten times worse than Love if they were pressed into service on that Cavs team.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

Lol. It is a hate fest? I think just about everyone thinks he is a nice player. I just don't think we want to trade something crazy for him or commit 80 million in salary to him.

True enough...I can't stand LaBaby, but Love has got to stop being the Cavs whipping boy, and stand up for himself. He should explain to team management... I can't seem to do anything right in this guys eyes, I'd like to know just who is the real coach and GM on this team. And if I'm not a good team fit, please trade me.

But instead Kevin just takes it. What it shows is that Kevin does not want to be a team leader, nor is he capable of being a team leader.

So what is he actually suited for in the NBA? That's a tough question to answer, do you want to pay a player max money to not be anywhere near capable of leading your basketball team? Do you want a player that when, or if you get into the finals, he may not show up.

Kevin Love is a player that needs to be rebuilt, his confidence has to be at an all time low point. Yet his contract is Max money.

If you really want Kevin Love, he needs to be almost stolen from the Cavs. That's why DA offered the Cavs almost nothing at the trade deadline last year. His contract may have to be adjusted. His reputation is nowhere near what it was 3-4 years ago.

I'm sure he'll want to leave now, but who will want him? It looks like he can barely run up and down the court.

There is certainly more evidence to support K.Love isn't a leader than he is, but that being said, think about the situation he has signed on for....He's playing with the "greatest" player in the world who also happens to be the number one pick of the franchise, he is from Ohio, and best chance for a Cleveland championship.  The offense complete runs through the Queen and you've gone from a 20-10 inside/out force to a corner 3 specialist who had 3 points last game.   The guy doesn't have a leg to stand on.

If he stands up for himself his reputation will take a much bigger hit than if he takes it.  He will be the disgruntled jerk instead of the good soldier.

Lababy was basically telling Love to use the forearm to push your man/carve out space.  Get to the "spot" faster and prevent that score

Because Love has zero shot blocking skills.

Love is crying, but I put my arms up.  :'(
