I think LeBron was trying to start something with Green all game long. He knew what he was doing.

Probably disappointed that Green didn't do anything more egregious, but the Cavs were apparently able to lobby the NBA for what they needed anyway.

That's silly.  Draymond is known for doing stuff like this.  He should've been suspended a while ago

Lebron was clearly trying to start something all game with Green, because he was desperate. He also tried to start something with Curry late in the game as well. Green was the perfect target to get a key player from the opposition suspended because of his prior rep, but Green didn't do anything to warrant a suspension during game 4. Lebron and Lue then lobbied the media and got Green suspended anyways. It is what it is.

The second part of their lobbying was the fabricated fairytale that Lebron doesnt get the calls. I'm predicting he's getting 20+ free throws a game the rest of the way in this series, probably 25 FTs in game 5 alone.

NBA just trying to stretch out the series.

Honestly didn't look like much of a nut shot. Lebron did the initial take down, no foul called. This could really swing the series in Cleveland's favor. * mark if Cleveland ends up winning this series.

Good call.  And then, Lebron didn't even notice the hit.  He had to see it on film.  You can't give a flagrant for something a guy doesn't even feel (unless you throw a wild punch at someone's head that misses I guess).  This was a tap during a tangle.  Dumb time to call a flagrant.

I watched the play over and over again, regardless of your opinion on what the NBA did here one thing is incontrovertible LeBron reacted to something it was probably the hit to his groin area or perhaps something that Green said but he was turning his head before Green was in standing position.

I don't like or respect thugs like Draymond Green, but this is ridiculous, imo.  Typical NBA ::). Besides, if we're going to go about handing out flagrants and the like, retroactively, then Lebron should have received one for knocking him down, stepping over him, and then having the gall to even complain to the officials about Green getting into it with him, as Draymond should have done, imo.

Btw, why wasn't Mozgov ever assessed a technical or flagrant for blatantly kneeing Klay Thompson in the thigh?  What a load of crap.

Since when is Draymond Green a thug?

I do agree though. LeBron is just as culpable as Green is here.

Someone needs to explain to me how IT doesn't get suspended for his scuffle with Schroeder in the Hawks series but Draymond gets suspended in the finals for something less egregious. Doesn't make ANY sense.

I think this is deserved. He took a swing at the nuts. The NBA has to draw the line somewhere with this guy- he's a great player but he's taking it a little too far with the flailing arms that connect repeatedly, and the kicks that 'coincidentally' make contact with peoples nuts.
Some of the stuff he pulled on Steven Adams in the WCF was despicable and completely unsportsmanlike.
He kicked Kyrie at Oracle in the last the last game too.

Suspending him for the start of next season is meaningless and would be a complete joke- it basically sends the message that you can be the dirtiest SOB for three rounds of the playoffs, not miss any meaningful games, and then you can have an extended holiday at the start of next season.

Because IT didn't swing or try to hurt Schroeder. IT's contact was the same as a wet willy- it was about p---ing Schroeder off and getting in his head without causing serious pain.

Draymond Green swung at Lebron's nuts with the intent to hurt him. Just like he did with Adams, just like he did when he tried to kick Kyrie on the way down a few games ago.
It's just dirty, dirty, dirty play and should never be tolerated when it's repeated as often as this guy does it.

The groin hit was supposed to be when he jumped up as LeBron stepped over him, no? I didn't see him intentionally swinging for his nuts.

Nevermind that LeBron was baiting him all game, I don't see anything in that play that's suspension worthy if Thomas gets off for his "hit" on Schroeder.

Since, like, always, lol ;D. Bogut and Varejao are thugs, too, but as far as Green goes, did you miss him judo flip Michael Beasley at the end of game 3 in the Houston series, as well as the groin kicks to Steven Adams and many other transgressions?  That's not basketball to me.  He would have made a great member of the Bad Boy Pistons or Pat Riley's Knicks, though ::).

As for IT, your guess is as good as mine.  He's a punk, too, imo.

Adams is a thug, too, imo, but I'm in agreement with you on Green - his actions have been absolutely deplorable.  Did anyone see the post game show where, when asked about his kicking, Green said that his leg just 'has a mind of its own'?  Really? ::)

Draymond Green is not allowed in arena until after game. Safe money is on him being very near so if Warriors win he can get there quickly

He'll be at the O.co Stadium with his buddies, and the celebration would move there if they win.

Book it.

I'd love for Green to win Finals MVP after being suspended this game  and then come in after the win and just blast the NBA for this.

I think his only path to Finals MVP now is if this goes seven and Draymond has big games in 6 & 7.

Its shaping up to be Curry's award, especially if he has another thirty point performance at home tomorrow night to close out the series.

The suspension wasn't for that sole hit though, the suspension was because the foul was simply upgraded to a flagrant. Because he had so many flagrants already, it's an automatic suspension.
They should be thankful that he didn't receive the flagrant vs OKC or they might not even be in the finals.
