Not going to beat the dead horse about us getting Durant with the current roster. But the million dollar question is do we have a better chance of landing him if it meant trading for Love? Thoughts by everybody? I dont want this to be a bash Love thread either.

Absolutely. They've played on Olympic teams together and train together during the summer. I imagine acquiring him would also be easier than getting Butler at this point, so we'd be able to keep more assets as a result. With some cap creativity it would also be possible to sign a guy like Whiteside as well.

This, and IMO PF is more of a need than SG on our team.  We just need a defensive big to help protect Love.

Idk I'm hearing a trade dealing the #3 and Smart for Jahlil Okafor. I don't know how much weight this holds but it seems to be the one trade they keep talking about more often so I'd keep my lids peeled for this one. I'm not sold on Love just yet though it is a possibility. No Durant though I'm still sold on him staying in OKC at least till next year

If we give the 76ers Smart and the #3 for Okafor we might as well throw in next year Nets pick.....

That would be an awful trade for us...in division

Dunn
Smart
Simmons
Saric
Noel

Pretty mobile and versatile young team.....Needs some shooting but they'll be tough on D and they all can run.
2016 Draft Board #3 Pick

Bender>Brown>Dunn>Murray>Hield

I'd like to know this, too.

I can't imagine that he's hearing that exact trade from anywhere. That's a major overpay. Kyler (I believe it was) the other day was just saying that Okafor wasn't enough for the number three for Danny. I'm guessing he heard Smart or number three, because I can't imagine it being both.

Where are you hearing this and why would Danny ever consider such a move? You must mean Smart or the #3...right?

As for the original question, I will go with, sure. Love isn't a humongous draw, but I could see him as a draw. It may also be possible to deal for Butler, too.

Ex - AB, KO, Amir, #16 for Love
       #3 and Crowder for Butler

I am actually not crazy about either of these moves and especially don't want to trade Crowder under any circumstance, but that is a pretty killer 1-4 if Durant agrees to join the Cs...we would just need to find a Center.

I don't know how solid this is but they are saying it may hold some weight. I'm not 100% sold on this until I see it happen. Not saying I agree either. Just sayin

Thanks for posting. I am not sure who MorningnewsUSA is, but I guess we can take solace in the fact that the rumor was from March 29th.

Continuing with the proposed trades I mentioned above, perhaps Chicago would switch out the #3 for Smart and we could deal the #3 for Okafor. Then we would have our 1-5; unfortunately we would no longer have any of the players that provided us with grit and hustle.

I have mentioned this before, but on Libertyballers a couple of weeks ago, ~10,000 fans voted on whether or not they would trade Okafor for just the #3 and over half of them said they would.

Another rumor has the Celtics trading for both Kevin Love and Jimmy Butler http://www.christiantoday.com/article/nba.trade.rumors.celtics.team.to.nab.kevin.love.jimmy.butler.also.a.trade.target/87893.htm

I question this rumor because it just states who the Celtics trade for and doesn't give who or what we give up. As far as I'm concerned, Butler is not negotiable. How is Danny gonna pull off two major trades like that ?

Then it says they will trade for Love and Butler then go after Durant lol. Although the idea would be amazing I don't see it happening.

Considering Love is currently getting throttled by the corpse of side show bob, I will pass.
