Let's say on draft day we pull off the blockbuster trade for Kevin Love by sending the third overall pick to New York with Melo joining LeBron and Kyrie. Let's also suppose we trade our remaining top four picks to Orlando for their top pick, which we use on Poeltl. Our remaining second rounders are used on draft-and-stash Euros and/or a future pick and/or cap relief (move Young).

We take the option on Jerebko, but let Johnson, Sully and Zeller walk.

After the draft, we pursue two guys in free agency: Kevin Durant and Dwight Howard. Obviously we cannot afford both. Let's say we get one of the two. In either scenario, would our team be good enough to compete for the NBA championship next year?

Option A
1: IT/Smart/Rozier
2: Bradley/Smart/Hunter
3: Durant/Crowder/Young(?)
4: Love/Jerebko/Mickey
5: Poeltl/Olynyk

Maybe add a MLE big man?

Option B
1: IT/Smart/Rozier
2: Bradley/Smart/Hunter
3: Crowder/Jerebko/Young(?)
4: Love/Jerebko/Mickey
5: Howard/Poeltl/Olynyk

Maybe add a MLE SF?
