Just want to know which are the guys that your overall view of them being good or bad for the C's changed?

For me the two positives are Dunn and Bender. I think Dunn has a role if Rozier is moved. At first I wanted no part of drafting another PG/combo guard but Dunn has tremendous tools/skills and would look impressive next to Smart long term. So I don't think you pass if he is the BPA. Bender is swiss army knife full of potential. Scouts talk about mobility, intangibles, instincts and offensive skill with rare size.  Both guys I view as positive editions now.

For negatives I have Stone and Brown. Brown just isn't as big, athletic or skilled enough to be a top 5 prospect. Especially if you consider where Winslow went last year. I wouldnt be shocked if Brown is on the board past 10. Stone has dropped like a stone. At first I joked the guy would be nice if drafted late like Perk when he was mocked high. Now after interviews and workouts he is mocked in second round by some. Stone seems all size and not enough developed skills just yet and that just scares me for a 1st round prospect. So second round at best for him.

I used to think Bender was Jonas Jerebko. I now think he is Anyhony Davis-lite.

Earlier in the year I liked the idea of getting a very athletic wing with good size and strength in Jaylen Brown.  He reminded me in some ways of guys Ainge had reportedly liked in the past -- Tyreke Evans, Harrison Barnes, Terrence Williams.

But following his college season and looking a little bit closer at scouting reports of him, I lost confidence that he has a clear role at the next level.  And hey, the guys mentioned above haven't exactly figured out a clear successful role at the next level, either.

I have also been very high on Jamal Murray at times.  Guy just looks like a natural scorer, and unlike Buddy Hield, has shown that from day 1 in college.

Problem with Murray is that it's a two way game.  If the Celts were picking 5th or 6th, I think coming away with a really good shooter and overall scoring guard, sort of the polar opposite of Marcus Smart in a lot of ways, would be a decent outcome.  But at number 3 I hope and expect for the Celts to come away with a guy that has the potential to play a lot of minutes and contribute in a big way on both ends, even if it takes a few years.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

This is crazy. And i love it.

coach bo changed my opinion on Bender.  From maybe to no.  He really brought the passion and I caved.

I know no longer think of Bender as Bender.  I can only think of Bender as the idea of Bender.  A Bender is something that passes well, is smart and tall, and moves around like an agile cat or a Ford pick up with a little extra, but doesn't take you anywhere at all.

I went from NO to MAYBE on Jaylen Brown. He reminds me of a SF version of Russell Westbrook, except not as loud spoken and brash on the court, and with less extravagant fashion.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

When I first heard that Thon Maker was declaring I thought he'd go top 3. Then I realised my mistake... Then I further realised that the guy is a long way from being an NBA player and probably the biggest project in the draft. Now I have him down in the late 30s to mid 40s on the draft board.

So yeah... one youtube video does not always tell the truth..

Bender.

I thought he was bottom of the lottery going in.

Now I have him somewhere in the 20s.

Good question.

Guys I like more now:
-Marquese Chriss. I'm still not ready to say that we should take him #3, but if Ainge really likes him that much, I'll give him benefit of the doubt.
-Kris Dunn. I loved him last year when he was mocked in the teens before going back to school, but I was put off by the top-5 hype for him most of the year. Now I'm sold. He's one of the few two-way players in the draft.

Guys I like less now:
-Henry Ellenson. I though he was going to have a great freshman season, but I was wrong. He was inefficient from everywhere and didn't play defense.
-Skal Labissiere. I thought he was going to have a good freshman season, and even when he struggled at the beginning of the year I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Now, I have a better appreciation for how serious his weaknesses are.

Guys I keep going back and forth on:
-Jaylen Brown. He is so athletic! But his stats were so mediocre! But I love his intangibles! Argh...
-Jamal Murray. Such a good shooter, such good stats, such mediocre tools. If I were drafting #5 I'd think about taking him, and if I were drafting #15 I'd think about passing on him.

I'm just surprised you have him getting drafted at all. I don't think you'd draft him if we were playing pickup at the YMCA.

Wow dude that's so cool. Did your friend who is a scout tell you to put him in the 20s?

I like Deyonta Davis, Korkmaz, and Damian Jones better now than I did. Each seems to have star potential and worth a flyer at #16 or #23.

On the downside, I think I've become more aware of the warts with Ingram. He's got tremendous potential but putting him up there with other elite SF prospects of the last several years seems like a reach.

Guys who I like more now:
- Chriss: very raw but hi-po (high potential)
- Murray: deadly shooter, fearless, quick and young
- Diallo: raw player in a bad system, high motor

Guys who I like less now:
-Skal: Usually guys improve in college, his struggles were tough to watch
-Brown: lack of consistency, disappeared at times last year
-Ellenson: slow, unathletic

Guys who confuse me more now:
-Bender: No idea who his comp is; feel like he's been over-analyzed
-Luwawu: mocks have him as high as 10 and as low as round 2
-Sabonis: his post-season was great, regular season not so much. which player is he?

The guy I just can't get a good feel on is Buddy Hield. Some moments I think he could be the best offensive player in the draft, a 20 point NBA scorer. Other times I feel that his game won't translate well in the NBA, for no particular reason other than that is the knock on him. If he were 2-3 years younger, he would be in the conversation with Simmons and Ingram at the top of the draft. It's really interesting how we get so hung up on the age of a guy when he is only 22. Crazy.

I don't watch college ball until the tourney. So almost all my info is what I read. When I read Chriss was moving up and a potential pick for us I was like  :o. But the more I see and read I'm starting to like him more and more.
