Forgot to mention that people said the exact same thing about Bosh when he first went to Miami and as soon as Lebron left he was their main guy. Bosh is a better defender than Love but Kevin is a better rebounder, passer and shooter.

Kevin Love's trade value isn't as great as I was once thought it was I'll say that. Yeah he'd fit in well under CBS but the dude is a statue on defense. How would CBS hide him on that side of the ball?

Just like how CBS hid Sully and KO.
love is worse on defense than these two. sully and olly at least play within the team defensive schemes. olly actually has good numbers on defense.

love is a turnstile.

add to that his degenerating offense, and i dont mean simply his counting stats. since his final year in minnesota, he takes fewer and fewer of his shots close and under the basket. he is quickly becoming a jump shooting forward with no interior game and turnstile defense.

the celtcs can do better. if he available for chump change, sure, get love. but i think cleveland will ask too much for him.

I still want him.

He would be a fantastic fit for us, as a scorer, floor spacer, rebounder, and outlet/transition passer.

Defense leaves a bit to be desired. But, hey, we survived last season with Sully and KO playing big minutes, and we held that 4th best defense. I'm sure Brad could figure it out.
I could very well see the Hawks... starting Taurean Prince at the 3, who is already better than Crowder, imo.

you vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about

This. But I wouldn't trade any of our main guys.

Given that Ibaka gives better perimeter and interior defense, good enough shooting and passing not be a black hole I would rather make a run for him than Love

And this is why Bender is such a tantalizing draft target for some.

Cleveland won't ask for#3 but will ask that we get a 3rd team involved to take the pick and send them someone like Anthony or Butler, for example. Cleveland is not in the draft pick acquisition business.

Gm lebum is going to try and trade love to get mello, then will attempt to trade irving to get cp3

Or he will to MIA

But i would take love on celtics but it depends on what i am giving up

I doubt LeBron still wants him.

He just doesn't rebound like he did in Minn.

I understand not scoring so much .

I thinking Love has issues more than mental ,   Believe he is hiding back problems , most likely needs surgery and doesn't want to miss a year of possible title play.

I'd rather pay him big money than say Sully, but it comes down to what type of assets we will have to give up.

I would still be very happy if Love becomes a Celtic. As others have mentioned he isnt an ideal Lebron wing man and I suspect he would have a career resurgence as the 1A to IT in Boston.

The issue is what can the Cs afford to give up for Love and who the Cavs would actually want in return. I would think this would have to be a three team trade. My first thought is the following deal.

Cavs Get: Melo and R Lopez

Cs get: Love

Knicks get: #3, Hunter and Tristan Thompson

This deal may work because everyone involved becomes a better team given what their status currently is.

The Knicks with the 3rd pick would logically draft Dunn to man the point though they could also take Murray. Thompson is a great fit as a 5/4 next to Porzingis and Hunter will be a player who should crack the rotation. This is the 1st step in building around KP.

The Cavs bring Lebron and Melo together and add an upgraded rim protector in the process. They will once again be a curious team to watch jell but Irving, Shumpert, Lebron, Melo and Lopez could be a tough matchup for everyone.

The Cs bring in a major upgrade at PF without affecting the core from last season. I would expect him to jump back up to being a 20+pt 10+rb contributor.

I hope Love never wears the Green.   He is such a heartless wimp.  He gets a hang nail and he is running to the locker room.  This seems to be a pattern for him.   I know he got elbowed in the head, but when your playing against a guy like him all you have to do is rough them and eventually they will quit.

I do. I'm not as confident that he's still Minnesota Love as you are, but I think an All-NBA player is still in there somewhere. I'd give them AB, JJ, and all the late picks they want. Heck, I'd consider giving them just #3 if they wanted it for some reason.

Not really. It is getting harder and harder to hide slow footed PFs on defense than it was in the past. It's a shame really because K-Love is a beautiful player. I just wish he was born 10-15 years earlier where he would have been easier to incorporate into winning teams.
