I like the players on this team and with the coaching I think get better.  With a tweak or 2 they'll get better.  And with the drafts well get better.  I'm not convinced giving away most everything for 1 or 2 vets is the way to go.  Injuries, old age, bad luck...  watching Durant in the playoffs did not convince me he's the answer to the finals.  Nor did Horford.

Well, I hate to take a contrarian view but sorry guy's but I'm ready to trade everybody and anybody and make a big splash next season. I dont know the trades to make or players to draft but I want to see the Celt's go deep into the playoffs sooner then later. I know you can do it through the draft but it's tough and you have to get lucky. We have ton's of assets, picks, players and the right managment and coach. I say NOW is the time to strike and put together a title contending team over the next year or two.

I want to go deep in the playoffs too.  I'm skeptical u can buy it in 1 yr.  2008 was the exception not the norm.

They are very entertaining most games ......the effort and enthusiasm is rarely lacking .

It will take infusion of upgraded talent to get past Cavs

Most of the current success would be attributed to the older established players who are at their ceiling.    There's not much growth left in the players that actually contributed.   Except maybe Smart.   Only guys left are Roz, Hunter, Mickey.    Only 4/15 players have a chance of really improving.

If there is any major growth it may come from someone who is not on the team.

I think bradley and Crowder will continue to grow, but I agree that they wont make massive leaps.

I'm happy that many of you agree with me on this. The poll says 62% would like to keep the 3rd pick and add young prospects.

I agree with you that many current players on the roster won't improve much, but this system is about the RIGHT players not just good players. I think with the right additions this team can contunie to grow. And that is the most important thing, the team to continue to grow.
