To Boston: DeMarcus Cousins and Ben McLemore

To Sacramento: Avery Bradley, Jae Crowder, Amir Johnson, Kelly Olynyk, 3, 16, 23, 31, 35, 45, 51, 58, Brooklyn '17, Brooklyn '18, Memphis '19

Assuming the Kings are unwilling to negotiate with the Lakers due to their rivalry, who could possibly trump this deal?

It's a king's ransom, but Cousins is poised to be the best center in the league the next 5-7 seasons, so it could take A LOT to pry him away from Vlade Divac...

I would pull the trigger, particularly if it could bring Durant to town. Even if Durant goes elsewhere, Smart can replace Bradley, we can re-sign Turner to start in place of Crowder, and then sign a couple Amir-like players to fill out the rest of the roster (while managing the cap in such a way that we'll be players in the 2017 offseason, too).

TOO much....you'd be dealing your entire franchise and it's future for Headcase Boogieman.

Holy crap, thats not an over pay, thats bankruptcy.

You get rid of most of our best defenders. The outside shooting big you want to play next to him to spread the floor. And good hard working guys.

AND any way to get young cheap help and continue to improve. Those Nets picks should be good and have to potential to get a player that would bring what Cousins does, and with out the attitude.

I voted yes just because I like that we're trading everything, including picks we don't even own.

Ha! Good eye, we have the Memphis 2019 pick, not the 2017.

I voted no by the way, way too much to give up.

Fixed.

Yeah, it is a lot...but Boogie, on the right team, is poised to be to the late 2010s what Dwight Howard was to the late 2000s and what Shaq was to the 1990s/early 2000s. In comparison, there is no guarantee any of those draft picks are going to yield an above average starter, let alone an all-NBA big man. I mean, look at how many of our picks have panned out this decade, or since building the Big Three. Two picks are solid: Bradley and Smart. Two picks are meh: Sully and Olynyk. 2015 is too early to call, but all of the rest of our picks since 2008 were nobodies...yet we are a playoff-caliber team that has rebuilt itself since The Big Three. Now imagine what Stevens and Co. can do with the first team all-NBA center...

Bradley is a great starter, but even he can be replaced by Smart. Making McLemore part of the trade, while keeping Rozier, ensures we have some youthful depth in our backcourt. It is possible, if not likely, that Smart is going to replace Bradley in the future anyway. It is also possible that McLemore and/or Rozier could develop into a solid 2. I like our youth and depth with McLemore added to the mix.

Crowder and Johnson can be replaced in free agency. For example, either Durant or Turner replaces Crowder and you replace Johnson with someone like Jordan Hill and/or maybe even match whatever Sully is given.

those are the best ones to trade.  ;D
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

This is the most ridiculous trade proposal I've ever seen in this forum, and that's saying something...

  • Boston Celtics= Championships, nothing less.
I would do this if we could keep Jae Crowder, the Memphis pick and a few of the 2nd round picks.
All 3 Brooklyn picks and Avery Bradley/Olynyk for Cousins and McLemore seems about fair.
Perhaps a pick swap this year with Sacramento would make it perfect.

Makes us the #2 team in the East and still maintains our core whilst acquiring a top 10 player. We still have boatloads of cap room too.

IT
Smart
Crowder
Free agent
Cousins

Is a good step towards a championship- just depends if you think DMC can be the main guy on a championship team. Can he?

"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

Hell no. You used your right to propose a trade, now you have to remain silent at least next month lol (sorry I had to).

That is to much. I would offer:

Crowder, Olynyk, 3rd pick, memphis 2019 . I think this should be enough.

While I appreciate the fact that the OP understands the idea that it will take an aggressively generous offer for the Kings to move Cousins, I think that this offer provides them with enough ammo for a franchise reset. I don't think that they want our entire draft from this year. How many draft and stash guys are enough? However, I don't believe that SAC would consider swapping #8 for #3. Keeping Crowder here is a big plus. TPs for both posters for not submitting lowball bids and for looking at trade proposals from the other team's point of view. Ryan Anderson as a free agent signing might provide proper floor spacing.

No way any GM pays that for Cousins. Not only are you giving up a lot of picks but also guys you need to win. We don't want a Kings 2.0 team. And no way a gutted C's team can draw KD after a trade like that one. It's more like

3, 16, 31, 2018 Nets 1st, Grizz 1st, JJ, AJ, Hunter, Rozier for Cousins and Casspi. That is almost five 1st still more than enough.
Draft Jones or Zubac at 23. Johnson for 35+45. Brogdon for 51+ 58
IT/Smart
AB/Brogdon/Young
KD/Crowder/Casspi
KO/Mickey/Johnson
Cousins/Jones

  • Sometimes there's no sane reason for optimism
I'm not sure how Danny could possibly sell this trade to the fan base - as others have said, way way way too much to give up.

If we're dealing in reality, I do think you need to include two Brooklyn picks, Avery Bradley, #16, and multiple 2nds (if they're interested). KO also shouldn't be a deal breaker if that is the hold up.

I am keeping Crowder, #23, #31, MEM '19 and BKN '17.

I still think that's a lot to give up, but two BKN picks and a young first-team all-defensive player with range is a solid core package and we need to start somewhere.
