There's a greater than 0% chance that we get hit by a meteor tonight and all life on Earth is extinguished. Thus forgive me if I scoff at your claim there's a zero percent chance that Durant comes to Boston. And you don't have a source, so don't claim that you do. It makes your post look even more idiotic than it already is.

Everyone already knows that Durant's smart play is to stay in OKC one more year and then strike it rich next offseason so no one is expecting him to go anywhere. Thus there won't be any universal meltdown if he doesn't become a Celtic this offseason, you drama queen.

The problem here, PaulP, is that you are speaking in absolutes.

It is within the realm of possibility that KD comes to Boston. It's a completely fair oppinion to believe KD is HIGHLY unlikely to come to Boston, but to say that there is a 0%chance is simply wrong.

I watched that documentary about Durant's 2014 off season. I think it was on Netflix or something. After watching that I came to the conclusion that he cares more about winning a title than staying loyal.

I do think he'll go back to OKC buuuuut if we get Horford and another player via trade... I think 0% quickly shoots up to 25%.

Danny will give him the "you're the next Celtic legend" spiel.  With a great young coach. A young and hungry team that has beaten the Warriors before. Being in the east.

And watching that documentary also showed me that he doesn't really like going back to his hometown. I think he actually said he has mixed feelings about going back. It's more bad memories of being poor and living in bad neighborhoods.

I think the "list of players he gave the C's" is a real thing. Because I could see Danny saying "what will it take to come here" and Durant giving him a list. I think Horford is a done deal for Boston. I think they are desperately trying to get that other guy via trade.

AKA - I have no source, and all I'm doing is speculating. There's actually much more evidence that he'll give Boston a meeting and consider Boston than there is to the contrary, so, in fact, you're the one making the controversial claim. If he even takes a meeting in Boston, then your 0% claim is patently false...

I agree with you but it's not a given.  You note the contract he is gonna sign but Westbrook will require something equal to that?  How do they build out the rest of the roster with two guys sucking up that much money?

How do you know your source is telling you the true? How do you know your sources, source is telling them the truth? Unless your source is Durant him self, and I bet he doesn't even know 100% or  his reps wouldn't have passed along the list of players to the teams he's looking at.

Also, I doubt Celtics nation is going to have a melt down if Durant stays in OKC. We all know it's a long shot, but we also know that DA will do everything he can with out hurting the team to get him here. Are he  extremely hopeful? YEP.  Will we be disappointed if he stays, or p---ed if he goes to Cleveland and call him a bum? YEP. But we wont, well at least the sane ones wont, cry the sky is falling.

So at the very least here is a
