Kevin Durant is not the type of player who wants to be recruited. Yes he may come to Boston for a visit and see all the history and trophies n hanging banners. What Kevin Durant wants is what he already has in OKC. Think about this, he's got a home that he's been comfortable in, he's got Westbrook to play next to and a great coach in Billy Donovan, he's got the love of his fans that would be heartbroken if he left, and he's got a great rich contract coming his way. There's no reason to think he will just up and leave all that. He specifically said that he isn't concerned with the bright lights the larger markets provide. He's gonna make 40 million more in OKC then anywhere else. I don't see him moving to Boston Massachusetts. If he does leave OKC he is most likely going home to Washington D.C. that would be the only place he goes if he leaves.

Boston doesn't have the playmakers at the level of Russell Westbrook. Boston has a lot of assets but there is no one here who could provide the star power of a Westbrook therefore there's 0% chance he comes to Boston. I will note that Nike wants him to leave OKC for a bigger market and they have 300 million reasons why they'd love to see him go to a place like Los Angeles but he's not concerned with them big markets.

Westbrook is going to the Lakers.  OKC will prob have to trade him mid season.  There's no stability there.  Also, I'm pretty sure Durant was still living in Seattle until 2013.  And who gives a crap about OKC fans.  THey don't deserve him.  They were gift-wrapped Seattle's team with Durant and Westbrook already on it.  They haven't had to struggle.  Watching Durant leave will build character.

The basis of your assumption is probably wrong. But let's say that you are right, then I don't want him at the Celtics. Let him be the second man in OKC, behind that crazy scientist Westbrook.
I think that he have to consider changing a team and conference. I'll keep it short. Three reasons. Three big reasons. First one is he must change the team because the Thunder is not his team, it's more of Westbrooks team. The second reason is weaker conference is east. Look at lebron. Looks very dominant in east. like he's subscribedto conference finals all this years (strongly believe it would not be the case if he's out in the west, but that's why he's lebron, one calculated mf). Third reason is shue company. west is dominated by the splash brothers and niether of them is nike owned. nike wants him to go to a different and large market then okc is. that's my opinion on your post. i think there's a chance he comes to boston but it also depends on him, it's not all on us making him the better situation here...btw if he even considers gsw or sas I will lose my respect for him...go and make something on your own man and the celtics have that potential.

I agree with you but it's not a given.  You note the contract he is gonna sign but Westbrook will require something equal to that?  How do they build out the rest of the roster with two guys sucking up that much money?

Its also worthy to note that; before Kevin Durants fame, he had a basketball coach he looked up to when he was in highschool (Charles Craig) who got murdered at the age of 35. Durant made that promise to his fallen coach that he would carry that number to the NBA and thus did. Durant will not go to a team where he cannot have that number 35 to carry on that legacy. Durant always wanted to play for his favorite team (Toronto Raptors) hmm they went to the ECF maybe they pick up Durant and go to the Finals ? They are much closer to the promise land then the Celtics. But I still think he stays in OKC

It could boil down to whether Westbrook stays or goes elsewhere. I'm sure that will be worked out before Durant has to make his decision. Durant will likely stay if Westbrook stays. If Westbrook goes, Durant will probably go--but not necessarily where Westbrook goes. He will likely go where he thinks he has the best chance of making an impact to win a Championship.
